Abstract

Metode pemberian tugas bermanfaat bagi peserta didik untuk lebih memahami materi pelajaran, jika pada pelaksanaanya guru memahami dengan tepat terkait metode pemberian tugas. Pada mata pelajaran PAK, di SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta, guru menggunakan metode pemberian tugas, namun pemberian tugas kepada peserta didik sekadar memberikan tugas dalam bentuk soal-soal dan terkadang tidak adanya penjelasan materi. Sehingga penelitian ini ingin melihat bagaimana peserta didik dapat memahami materi melalui metode pemberian tugas. Penelitian ini membahas tentang Efektivitas Metode Pemberian Tugas Terhadap Pemahaman Peserta Didik Pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen Di SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebagai berikut: 1) Untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode pemberian tugas pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen di SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta. 2) Untuk mengetahui pemahaman peserta didik melalui metode pemberian tugas pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen di SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta. Metode penelitian ini melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Informan yang diteliti yaitu 15 peserta didik dan 1 guru PAK di SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) metode pemberian tugas yang di berikan guru kepada peserta didik masih kurang efektif seperti peserta didik hanya mendapatkan satu jenis tugas dalam bentuk soal, tidak adanya penjelasan materi sehingga peserta didik kurang memahami materi mata pelajaran PAK melalui metode pemberian tugas, 2) pemahaman peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran PAK melalui metode pemberian tugas didapatkan melalui pengetahuan faktual dan prosedural sehingga peserta didik hanya mampu mengingat materi ataupun aktif dalam ibadah, berdoa, dan membaca Alkitab. Dengan demikian, metode pemberian tugas dalamm proses pembelajaran PAK kurang efektif, sehingga peserta didik kurang memahami materi pelajaran. Adapun metode efektif yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran PAK masa kini ialah metode project based learning. Hal ini dapat mendorong peserta didik untuk lebih aktif dan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Metode Pemberian Tugas, PAK, Pemahaman Peserta Didik. / The learning process of PAK (Religious Education) can utilize various types of teaching methods, one of which is the task-based method. The task-based method is beneficial for students to gain a better understanding of the subject matter, provided that teachers have a proper understanding of the task-based method. In the subject of PAK at SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta, teachers use the task-based method, but the tasks given to students often consist only of questions without proper explanation of the material. Therefore, this research aims to examine how students can comprehend the material through the task-based method. This research discusses the Effectiveness of the Task-Based Method on Students' Understanding in the Subject of Christian Religious Education at SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta. The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) To determine the effectiveness of the task-based method in the subject of Christian Religious Education at SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta. 2) To assess students' understanding through the task-based method in the subject of Christian Religious Education at SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The informants consisted of 15 students from SMP Negeri 135 Jakarta and one PAK teacher. The findings of this research are as follows: 1) The task-based method employed by teachers is still ineffective as they do not follow the proper procedure, resulting in students receiving only one type of task in the form of questions without proper explanation. Consequently, students have a limited understanding of the PAK subject matter through the task-based method. 2) Students' understanding of the given tasks is limited to factual and procedural knowledge, indicating that they fail to comprehend the purpose and significance of the tasks assigned by the teacher. Therefore, the task-based method is considered ineffective, and teachers need to pay attention to the appropriate procedures in implementing the task-based method to enhance students' comprehension of the subject matter. As an effective alternative, project-based learning is recommended for the contemporary teaching of Christian Religious Education.
