Abstract

Pengajaran yang efektif untuk kemampuan dasar yang perlu dipelajari dan ditampilkan secara menyeluruh selama proses pembelajaran. Kondisi ini terjadi pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 173 Jakarta pada materi bangun ruang, peneliti memutuskan untuk meneliti pemahaman siswa tentang bangun ruang dikarenakan selama ini masih banyak permasalahan dalam mempelajari materi tersebut. Penelitian ini dengan menggunakan kelas kontrol dan eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran kontekstual. Pada pertemuan pertama peneliti melakukan penyebaran soal Pre-Test kepada siswa kelas VIII-A/B. Pada pertemuan kedua sampai pertemuan ketiga peneliti melakukan penjelasan materi pada bangun ruang kubus. Pada pertemuan terakhir peneliti memberikan soal post-test. Setelah melakukan penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan tentang meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam materi bangun ruang kubus di SMPN 173 Jakarta sebagai berikut: (1). Terdapat perbedaan dalam berpikir, siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan metode kontekstual dan juga tidak. Hal ini dibuktikan dalam analisis data dalam perhitungan uji homogenitas dan juga uji normalitas. (2).Memiliki perbedaan-perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran bangun ruang kubus. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis data dan perhitungan. (3).Memiliki perbedaan peningkatan dalam pemahaman siswa matematika. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari uji Mann Whtiney yang memperoleh H_0ditolak dan H_1 diterima. (4).Siswa merasa terganggu dengan penyebabnya kondisi sekolah yang berdekatan dengan sekolah lain,hal ini dikarenakan jamnya selalu bentrok. (5).Siswa selalu bertanggung jawab atas tugas yang diberikan oleh gurunya. / Good teaching for basic skills that must be mastered and displayed in an integrated manner in the learning process. In teaching and learning is a development of a very effective communication. This condition occurs in class VIII students of SMPN 173 Jakarta on geometric material, the researchers decided to examine students' understanding of geometric shapes because so far there are still many problems From the results of the data that researchers have found, this research is carried out in accordance with the teaching materials (RPP) that have been made by researchers as in the attachment below. At the first meeting the researcher distributed the Pre-Test questions to class VIII-A/B students. At the second meeting until the third meeting the researcher explained the material on the cube shape. VIII-A class students as the control class and VIII-B class students as an experimental class using contextual learning methods. In the last meeting, the researcher gave post-test questions. researchers also want to know how far students understand it by way of interviews. This interview was conducted randomly in class VIII-A and VIII-B. After conducting this research, it can be concluded about increasing students' understanding of the cube material at SMPN 173 Jakarta as follows: (1). There are differences in thinking, students who are taught using contextual methods and also not. This is proven in the data analysis in the calculation of the homogeneity test and also the normality test. (2). Having differences in increasing students' understanding in learning cube shapes. This can be seen from the results of data analysis and calculations. (3). There is a difference in the increase in students' understanding of mathematics. This can be seen from the Mann Whitiney test which was rejected and accepted. (4). There are things that must be considered from several aspects that have been carried out through interviews. (5). Students are always responsible for doing the tasks that have been given by the teacher.
