Abstract

Infeksi nosokomial dapat terjadi pada petugas rumah sakit ataupun pasien yang sedang dirawat inap maupun sudah kembali dari rumah sakit. Infeksi ini dapat ditransmisikan dari tangan petugas kesehatan ke pasien. Sebagai upaya untuk mencegah penyebarannya yaitu dengan menjaga kebersihan tangan. World Health Organization (WHO) menyatakan untuk menjaga kebersihan tangan dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan sabun dan air atau cairan antiseptik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jumlah koloni dan jenis bakteri yang terdapat pada telapak tangan perawat Rumah Sakit Pelabuhan Jakarta, dengan melakukan pengambilan sampel swab tangan sebelum mencuci tangan, sesudah mencuci tangan dengan sabun, dan sesudah mencuci tangan dengan cairan antiseptik. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan adanya perbedaan jumlah koloni pada sebelum mencuci tangan sebanyak 781 koloni, sesudah mencuci tangan dengan sabun sebanyak 23 koloni, dan sesudah mencuci tangan dengan cairan antiseptik sebanyak 13 koloni. Kata Kunci : Cuci tangan, Sabun, Cairan Antiseptik, Jumlah koloni, Infeksi Nosokomial./ Nosocomial infections can occur in hospital staff or patients who are being hospitalized or have returned from the hospital. This infection can be transmitted from the hands of health workers to patients. As an effort to prevent its spread, namely by maintaining hand hygiene. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that hand hygiene can be done by using soap and water or antiseptic liquid. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of colonies and types of bacteria found on the palms of nurses at the Jakarta Harbor Hospital, by taking a hand swab sample before washing hands, after washing hands with soap, and after washing hands with antiseptic liquid. From the results of the study, it was found that there were differences in the number of colonies before washing hands as many as 781 colonies, after washing hands with soap as many as 23 colonies, and after washing hands with antiseptic liquid as many as 13 colonies.
