Abstract

Bentuk kekerasan terhadap wartawan merupakan tindakan yang termasuk tindakan kriminal. kekerasan yang dijumpai tidak lain dari adanya pemukulan terhadap wartawan, menampar bahkan sampai ancaman pembunuhan dan verbal dengan mengintimidasi kata-kata sifatnya mengancam dan membunuh kepada korban. Maka dari itu wartawan yang mengalami kekerasan mendapatkan perlindungan oleh lembaga pers dan hukum. melalui organisasi pers seperti AJI berperan penting untuk mengawal dan melindungi hak wartawan dan kemerdekaan. oleh sebab itulah dibutuhkan perlindungan dan jaminan hukum terhadap wartawan selama menjalankan kegiatannya di lapangan serta ditinjau dari kode etik jurnalistik untuk melihat apakah ada yang dilanggar oleh wartawan ataupun tidak. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar dapak kekerasan yang dialami oleh korban serta perlindungan hukum yang diberikan oleh AJI Surabaya dalam menangani bentuk kekerasan yang dialami wartawan ketika melakukan peliputan investigasi dengan melihat kode etik jurnalistik dan Undang-undang tentang pers sebagai bahan utama menggali masalah. Teori yang digunakan teori pers tanggung jawab sosial sebagaimana media khususnya bertanggung jawab terhadap kepentingan umum serta wartawan yang wajib untuk mematuhi kode etik jurnalistik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan mewawancari informan melalui sarana media. Kesimpulan dari masalah yang diteliti mendapatkan bahwa kekerasan yang dialami wartawan merupakan tindakan kejahatan yang sifatnya melukai korban baik fisik dan verbal. Peran AJI Surabaya berperan penting untuk mengawal kasus tersebut dengan membuat laporan kekerasan ke Polda Jawa Timur dan menemui beberapa lembaga yang penting untuk membantu perjuangkan keadilan dan keamanan terhadap wartawan yang mengalami kekerasan dilakukan oleh oknum aparat keamanan polisi. Bentuk kekerasan yang dilakukan antara lain memukul korban, menampar pipi korban, memukul bagian ulu hati, menyekap korban dan ancaman verbal intimidasi dengan penghinaan dan ancaman pembunuhan./ This form of violence against journalists is an act that includes a criminal act. The violence encountered was nothing but beatings of journalists, slapping and even death threats and verbal intimidation with words that were threatening and killing the victim. Therefor journalists who experience violence get protection by the press and the law. through press organizations such as AJI play an important role in guarding and protecting journalists' rights and independence. That's why legal protection and guarantees are needed for journalists while carrying out their activities in the field and in terms of the journalistic code of ethics to see if something has been violated by journalists or not. The purpose of this research is to find out how big the impact of violence experienced by victims and the legal protection provided by AJI Surabaya in dealing with forms of violence experienced by journalists when reporting on investigations by looking at the journalistic code of ethics and the law on the press as the main ingredients in exploring problems. The theory used is the social responsibility press theory as the media in particular are responsible for the public interest and journalists are obliged to comply with the journalistic code of ethics. The method used is a qualitative approach by interviewing informants through media means. The conclusion of the problems studied is that the violence experienced by journalists is a crime that is injuring the victim both physically and verbally. AJI Surabaya played an important role in guarding the case by reporting violence to the East Java Regional Police and meeting with several important institutions to help fight for justice and security against journalists who were subjected to violence by police officers. The forms of violence carried out included hitting the victim, slapping the victim's cheek, hitting the solar plexus, holding the victim and verbal threats of intimidation with insults and death threats.
