Abstract

Stroke adalah suatu penyakit yang membuat fungsi otak tidak bekerja secara normal, ini disebabkan karena aliran darah otak mengalami gangguan. Stroke sendiri terbagi 2, hemoragik dan iskemik. Hemoragik merupakan gangguan yang disebabkan karena aliran darah otak tidak normal dikarenakan pecahnya pembuluh darah otak. Berbeda dengan hemoragik, iskemik merupakan gangguan yang disebabkan oleh penyumbatan darah karena adanya bekuan darah sehingga aliran darah ke otak terhenti. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik demografi pasien stroke iskemik dengan harapan masyarakat dapat mengetahui dan memahami faktor risiko dan cara pencegahan stroke iskemik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik melalui rekam medis dan mengambil sampel menggunakan non-probability berjenis purposive sampling dari 265 pasien stroke iskemik periode 2019 – 2020 di RSU UKI didapatkan 122 sampel yang termasuk kriteria inklusi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, usia pasien stroke iskemik yang paling banyak yaitu 46-65 tahun dengan jumlah 77 orang (63,1%), untuk jenis kelamin laki-laki berjumlah 57 orang (46,7%) sedangkan perempuan 65 orang (53,3%), tingkat pendidikan yang paling banyak yaitu SMA dengan total 63 orang (51,6%), dan pekerjaan yang paling banyak adalah IRT yaitu 45 orang (36,9%)./ Stroke is a disease that makes brain function does not work normally, this is because the blood flow to the brain is disturbed. Stroke is divided into 2, hemorrhagic and ischemic. Hemorrhagic is a disorder caused by abnormal cerebral blood flow due to rupture of cerebral blood vessels. In contrast to hemorrhagic, ischemic is a disorder caused by blockage of blood due to a blood clot so that blood flow to the brain stops. This study used a descriptive analytic method through medical records and took samples using non-probability purposive sampling from 265 ischemic stroke patients for the period 2019 – 2020 at UKI General Hospital, obtained 122 samples that included the inclusion criteria. Based on the results of the study, the age of the most ischemic stroke patients was 46-65 years with a total of 77 people (63.1%), for male sex there were 57 people (46.7%) while 65 women (53.3%), the highest level of education is SMA with a total of 63 people (51.6%), and the most occupations are IRT with 45 people (36.9%)
