Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 mempengaruhi pendidikan sehingga pemerintah menetapkan kebijakan untuk seluruh aktivitas akademik dialihkan menjadi pembelajaran dalam jaringan untuk mengurangi risiko penularan virus COVID-19. Perubahan metode pembelajaran menjadi dalam jaringan menimbulkan dampak stres akademik karena mahasiswa/mahasiswi cenderung menyesuaikan diri dengan cara mengurangi jam istirahat yang mereka miliki agar mendapatkan waktu yang lebih lama untuk belajar. Hal tersebut mampu mempengaruhi pola dan kualitas tidur mahasiswa/mahasiswi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat stres akademik terhadap kualitas tidur pada mahasiswa/mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia angkatan 2018-2021.Penelitian menggunakan desain cross sectional dan bersifat analitik observational. Menggunakan data primer yaitu menggunakan kuesioner PSQI untuk menilai kualitas tidur dan kuesioner PASS untuk menilai tingkat stres akademik. Jumlah subjek sebanyak 237 responden dan sampel dipilih dengan metode random sampling, kemudian dilakukan uji korelasi dengan menggunakan uji Pearson’s pada mahasiswa/mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Kristen Indonesia tahun 2018-2021.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa mengalami stres akademik sedang sebanyak 199 responden (84%), dan mengalami kualitas tidur buruk sebanyak 210 responden (88,6%). Hasil uji korelasi menggunakan uji Pearson’s diperoleh p = <0,001(<0,05) dan r=0,218 yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat stres akademik dengan kualitas tidur./ The COVID-19 pandemic affected education so that the government set a policy for all activities to be turned into online learning to reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Changes in learning methods become in the network the impact of academic stress because students adapt by reducing their resting hours in order to get longer time to study. This can affect the sleep patterns and quality of students. This study aims to determine the relationship between academic stress levels and sleep quality in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Indonesian Christian University class 2018-2021. The study used a cross sectional design and was analytical and observational. Using primary data, namely using the PSQI questionnaire to assess sleep quality and the PASS questionnaire to assess the level of academic stress. The number of subjects was 237 respondents and the sample was selected by random sampling method, then a correlation test was carried out using the Pearson's test on students of the Faculty of Medicine, Christian University of Indonesia in 2018-2021. The results showed that students experienced moderate academic stress as many as 199 respondents (84%), and experienced poor sleep quality as many as 210 respondents (88.6%). The results of the correlation test using the Pearson test obtained p = <0.001 (<0.05) and r = 0.218 which stated that there was a relationship between academic stress levels and sleep quality.
