Abstract
Latar belakang. COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS CoV-2 virus that attacks the respiratory tract by causing symptoms of cough, runny nose to more complex symptoms such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The incidence of pneumonia secondary infection is not uncommon in COVID-19 patients, this is also often associated with the prognosis of COVID-19 patients. Investigations that can be done are laboratory and radiological examinations. Objective. This study aims to determine the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with or without pneumonia secondary infection. Method. This research is descriptive research. The number of samples was 56 patients. The sample selection using purposive sampling based on the criteria that have been determined by the researcher with the data used is secondary data, the research results are processed using the SPSS computer program. Results and Conclusion. The results showed that the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with or without pneumonia secondary infection based on age, gender, and disease history is dubia. The results of the patient's hematology and radiology laboratory can be used as a determinant of the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with or without pneumonia secondary infection. There is no correlation between the incidence of pneumonia secondary infection with the length of stay of the patient.
