Abstract

Formas Juitan Lase, S.Sos., M.I.Kom F. “Pengaruh Konsumsi Berita Covid-19 terhadap Perilaku Masyarakat DKI Jakarta” Covid-19 merupakan wabah penyakit yang penularannya sangat cepat. Bertambahnya hari, kasus kematian selalu meningkat di berbagai negara dan menimbulkan rasa kepanikan moral, salah satunya Indonesia. Covid-19 diumumkan di Indonesia pertama kali pada 2 Maret 2020, setelah diumumkan, pada hari itu juga terjadi aksi panic buying di beberapa toko swalayan. Apa yang menjadi ketakutan di tengah masyarakat atas penyebaran wabah Covid-19 tidak terlepas dari peran media yang menyajikan banyak pemberitaan dengan ‘dramatisir’. Dalam kasus tersebut, DKI Jakarta merupakan wilayah kasus terbanyak Covid-19. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsumsi berita terhadap perilaku masyarakat DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini memakai konsep moral panic, dan the grassroots model.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatakan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 386 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pada aspek pengetahuan, masyarakat hanya mengetahui Covid-19 namun belum memahaminya. Lalu aspek sikap, hasil menujukkan bahwa sikap masyarakat cenderung mengikuti perkembangan Covid-19 setiap harinya, juga mengimbau keluarga agar mengikuti perkembangan Covid-19. Terakhir pada aspek tindakan, masyarakat akan cenderung mengikuti protokol kesehatan dan mulai membiasakan diri dengan perilaku sehat. As time goes on, cases of death are increasing in various countries and are causing a sense of moral panic, including Indonesia. Covid-19 was first announced in Indonesia on March 2, 2020, after it was announced , the same day there was the panic attacks in several of the supermarkets. What freaked the society out of the spread of the covid-19 plague is linked to the media role presented by ‘dramatize’. In that case, DKI Jakarta is the largest covid-19 case area. So the study aims to find out how news consumption affects people’s behavior in DKI Jakarta. This study uses the concept of moral panic, and the grassroots model. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research sample of 386 respondents. The result shows, first, in the knowledge aspect, people only know the covid-19 but still do not understand it. Second, the attitude aspect, shows that people tend to follow Covid-19 development every day, also encouraging families to follow Covid-19 development. Third, the action aspect, people will tend to follow health protocols and get used to healthy behavior. Keywords: coronavirus, news consumption, behavior, moral panic
