Abstract

Perkembangan dunia Otomotif mengalami kemajuan di Indonesia dengan munculnya beragam jenis mobil toyota. Berdasarkan banyaknya peredaran mobil toyota yang ada di indonesia maka dibutuhkan suatu tempat atau bangunan yang dapat melestarikan tentang kendaraan bermotor yang memiliki nilai sejarah dalam penggunaannya. Garis desain toyota yang spesifik serta kualitas mesin dan ketahanan mobil yang sudah tidak dapat diragukan lagi menjadikan Toyota laku keras di pasaran khususnya di wilayah Indonesia. Oleh karena itu perlu di bangun sebuah museum otomotif yang mampu mewadahi hal tersebut. Tetapi kecenderungan masyarakat sekarang ini kurang meminati untuk berkunjung ke museum. Hal ini dikarenakan bentuk penampilan bangunan museum yang terkesan ilmiah. Kejayaan sebuah mobil, apalagi yang bernilai historis atau antik, pasti tidak akan pudar. Body boleh keropos, cat boleh pudar, tapi cerita apa yang ada dibaliknya membuat nilai sebuah mobil kadang tidak masuk akal. Arsitektur kontemporer telah diakui sebagai salah satu pendekatan dalam merancang secara internasional. Arsitektur kontemporer muncul karena kebutuhan akan gaya baru pada masa tersebut kemudian terus berkembang ke era art and craft , dimana masyarakat mulai jenuh dengan fabrikasi dan melakukan gerakan sosial craftmanship. Istilah arsitektur kontemporer mengacu pada gaya bangunan saat ini. Dalam bidang arsitektur, kontemporer dan modern tidak memiliki makna yang sama. Modern mengacu pada arsitektur modernis yang ada pada awal hingga pertengahan abad 20, sedangkan Kontemporer pada dasarnya adalah gaya desain yang up to date dan terus menerus bereproduksi hingga masa sekarang./ The development of the automotive world is progressing in Indonesia with the emergence of various types of Toyota cars. Based on the many circulation of Toyota cars in Indonesia, we need a place or building that can preserve the motorized vehicle that has historical value in its use. Toyota's specific design lines as well as the engine quality and durability of the car that can no doubt make Toyota sell well in the market, especially in Indonesian regions. Therefore it is necessary to build an automotive museum that is capable of accommodating this. But the tendency of today's society is less interested in visiting museums. This is due to the scientific appearance of the museum building. The glory of a car, especially those of historical or antique value, will definitely not fade. The body can be porous, the paint may fade, but the story behind it makes the value of a car sometimes unreasonable. Contemporary architecture has been recognized as one of the approaches in designing internationally. Contemporary architecture arose because of the need for new styles at that time and then continued to develop into the era of art and craft, where people began to get bored with fabrication and social craftmanship movements. The term contemporary architecture refers to the current style of the building. In the field of architecture, contemporary and modern do not have the same meaning. Modern refers to modernist architecture that existed in the early to mid- 20th century, while Contemporary is basically an up-to-date design style and continues to reproduce to the present.
