Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah pelaksanaan program jurnal membaca atau Read-with-me Journa di Early Childhood Education Sekolah Victory Plus Bekasi sudah optimal atau belum. Untuk mengukur itulah maka perlu dikaji seperti apakah perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan evaluasi yang ideal secara teori untuk kemudian mengukur apakah program ini sudah mencapai hasil yang terbaik atau tertinggi secara efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Unsur manusia sebagai instrumen kunci yaitu peneliti yang terlibat langsung dalam observasi partisipasi, unsur informan terdiri kepala sekolah, guru-guru, orang tua murid dan siswa EY2 Early Childhood Education Sekolah Victory Plus. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan sebagai berikut: (1) perencanaan program Read-with-me Journal di ECE Sekolah Victory Plus perlu dibuat lebih jelas terlebih ketika ada program lain yang hampir sama tata cara pelaksanaanya, (2) pengorganisasian program Read-with-me Journal di ECE Sekolah Victory Plus belum efektif dan efisien karena kesatuan pengarahan belum sepenuhnya sampai kepada pelaksana program, (3) pelaksanaan program Read-with-me Journal di ECE sekolah Victory Plus ini belum efektif dan efisien karena orang tua kurang konsisten melaksanakan kegiatan membaca dan mengisi jurnal setiap minggu, (4) pengawasan dan evaluasi program Read-with-me Journal sudah cukup baik, komunikasi antara kepala sekolah dan guru-guru selaku pelaksana dan pengawas program terjalin dengan baik sehingga dapat diketahui kendala-kendala yang timbul pada program ini dan kepala sekolah dapat menentukan stategi baru untuk mengoptimalkan program. Kata kunci: Optimalisasi program, Jurnal membaca (Read-with-me Journal), Minat baca./ The purpose of this study was to discover whether or not the implementation of reading journal program at Victory Plus School has already optimized. The review of the ideal planning, organizing, actuating, controlling and evaluating based on the theories were needed as the measurement of well performing program effectively. This research was a descriptive qualitative approximation method. Human element was the key instrument in which the researcher was directly involved in the participative observation. Moreover, the informants were the principal, teachers, parents and Early Year 2 students of Early Childhood Education Victory Plus School. The results of this study are: (1) clear and detailed of reading journal program plan was needed, especially when there was another program which has similar procedure running at the same time, (2) the organization of reading journal program has not run effectively yet since the unity of the direction was not conveyed to the program implementer, (3) the program implementation has not yet run effectively since the program implementer didn’t do the program consistently every once in a week, (4) the controlling and evaluating of the program was good because the communication among the principal and the teachers run effectively so that the program obstacle appears. Thus, the principal were able to find another strategy to optimize the program. Keywords: Optimized program, reading journal, reading interest.
