Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan/atau pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar guru dengan kualitas belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Ambon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan korelasional, dimana survei/penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Ambon selama ± 2 bulan (Nopember-Desember 2013), dengan populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI (IPA/IPS) pada SMA Negeri 3 Ambon yang berjumlah 247 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah propotional random sampling atau pengambilan sampel acak dengan memperhitungkan proporsi jumlah siswa untuk setiap kelas/jurusan diperoleh sebanyak 154 siswa untuk sampel penelitian dan 16 siswa untuk sampel ujicoba. Dari data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisa kuantitatif berupa regeresi linear sederhana dan berganda yang didasarkan pada hasil perhitungan menggunakan program SPSS. Hipotesis penulisan ini adalah diduga bahwa motivasi belajar dan atau pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar secara sendiri maupun bersama-sama mempunyai hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan kualitas belajar siswa kelas XI pada SMA Negeri 3 Ambon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan kualitas belajar siswa, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,435 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,189; 2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar guru dengan kualitas belajar siswa, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,868 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,754; dan 3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar guru dengan kualitas belajar siswa, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,875 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,765; Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa kualitas belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui usaha meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar guru yang lebih baik. Untuk itu perlu upaya sekolah meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan melatih siswa menyelesaikan tugas sendiri, terlibat dalam kegiatan ekstra kurikuler, disamping para guru dapat merancang dan melaksanakan kegiatan belajar yang kondusif, nyaman dan menyenangkan, seperti penataan ruangan yang mencerminkan kesejukan, ventilasi yang baik sehingga sirkulasi udara berjalan dengan baik, menumbuhkembangkan kreativitas siswa, memaksimalkan inventarisasi alat peraga, mengajak siswa belajar langsung di lingkungan luar sekolah (alam), dimana hal-hal ini dapat meningkatkan daya tangkap siswa terhadap suatu materi pembelajaran yang disampaikan. Kata Kunci : Motivasi Belajar, Pengelolaan Proses Belajar Mengajar, Kualitas Belajar / This paper aims to determine the relationship between motivation to learn and / or the teachers’ management of teaching and learning process with the quality of student learning at SMAN 3 Ambon. The research method used was a survey method with a correlation approach, where the survey / study conducted at SMAN 3 Ambon for about 2 months (November - December 2013), the study population was the student of class XI (Science / Social) at SMAN 3 Ambon which totaled 247 students. The technique of sample taking is proportional random sampling or randomly taking the sample by calculating the proportion of the number of students for each class / department obtained for a sample of 154 students and 16 students study for test samples. From the data obtained was analyzed using quantitative analysis method in the form of simple and multiple linear regression based on the calculation results using SPSS program. Hypothesis of this paper is suspected that the motivation to learn and or management of teaching and learning process alone or together have a positive and significant relationship with the quality of student learning in class XI at SMAN 3 Ambon. The results showed that: 1) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and the quality of student learning, with a correlation coefficient of 0.435 and determination coefficient was 0.189; 2) there is a positive and significant relationship between teachers' management of the teaching and learning process with the quality of student learning, with a correlation coefficient of 0.868 and determination coefficient was 0.754; and 3) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and teachers'management of teaching and learning processes with the quality of student learning, with a correlation coefficient of 0.875 and a coefficient of determination equal to 0.765; Based on these results the authors concluded that the quality of student learning can be enhanced through the efforts of increasing student motivation and better teachers' management of teaching and learning process. It needs to be an effort from school to increase students' motivation to train students to complete the task themselves, engage in extracurricular activities, in addition teachers can design and implement learning activities conducive, comfortable and fun, such as the arrangement of the room which reflects coolness, well ventilated so that air circulation goes well, develop student creativity, maximize inventory of props, invite students to learn directly outside the school environment (nature), in which these things can improve the perception of students toward the learning material presented.
