Abstract

Kepala sekolah sebagai pimpinan sekolah memikul tanggung jawab yang amat besar untuk memenuhi harapan dari berbagai pihak yang terkait. Kepala sekolah dituntut untuk mampu mengarahkan, mengatur, memberi teladan kepada anak buahnya untuk mencapai tujuan bersama yang telah ditetapkan. Kepala sekolah yang efektif dan efisien akan bisa menciptakan sebuah sekolah yang berprestasi, baik dibidang akademik maupun non akademik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran yang lebih jelas tentang prestasi/ketercapaian kepala sekolah, mengetahui tentang kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mencapai tujuan, dan mengetahui bagaimanakah komunikasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SMK Pamor Cikampek. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh dari lapangan melalui hasil observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini merupakan perwakilan dari keseluruhan informan yang ditentukan sebanyak 23 informan, terdiri dari 6 orang guru, 4 orang staf administrasi, 1 orang kepala sekolah dan 12 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian adalah kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMK Pamor Cikampek, sudah melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya dengan baik sebagai seorang kepala sekolah, dan kepemimpinannya sudahlah efektif dan efisien. Kata kunci: efektifitas, efisien, prestasi dan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah./The principal as a school leader assumes tremendous responsibility to meet the expectations of various stakeholders. The principal is required to be able to direct, organize, set an example to his subordinates to achieve a common goal that has been established. Effective and efficient principals will be able to create an outstanding school, both academic and non-academic. The purpose of this study is to provide a clearer picture of the achievement of the principal, knowing about the leadership of the principal in achieving goals, and knowing how the leadership communication of the principal in SMK Pamor Cikampek. The approach taken is a qualitative approach descriptive. Data obtained from the field is through observation, interview and documentation. The informants in this study were representative of all 23 determined informants, consist of 6 teachers, 4 staff officers, 1 principal and 12 students. The results of the study that the leadership of the private principal of SMK Pamor Cikampek, has performed its duties and responsibilities well as a principal, and its leadership has been effective and efficient.
