Abstract
Program Studi: Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Kristen Indonesia, Jakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dengan maksud untuk membuktikan bahwa seberapa besarnya peran dari guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam membangun karakter siswa, dengan demikian perkembangan karakter siswa dapat terbentuk dengan tujuan pembelajaran yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan pencapaian tujuan pendidikan karakter di Indonesia untuk semakin baik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Fransiskus 1 Jakarta, pada siswa dan siswi mulai dari kelas X, XI IPA, XI IPS dengan metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dan teknik kuesioner/angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan hasil penelitian untuk peran guru bimbingan dan konseling, di dapatkan Lower sebesar 96.3046 dan Upper sebesar 101.2454 dengan rata-rata sebesar 98.77500. Dan thitung = 80,875 > ttabel = 1.699 pada α = 0,05 (lampiran 8). Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dan pembahasan di atas, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa adanya peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam membangun karakter siswa di SMA Fransiskus 1 Jakarta. Maka dapat ditentukan artinya bahwa peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam membangun karakter siswa di SMA Fransiskus 1 Jakarta memiliki peranan yang signifikan. Kata Kunci: Karakter, Peran Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling Study Program: Guidance and Counseling at Universitas Kristen Indonesia, Jakarta. The research was conducted with the intention to prove that there is effect of the role of guidance and counseling teacher in character building of students, so that the development of students' character can be formed with the purpose of learning, which in turn will improve the achievement of the goals of education character in Indonesia for become better. This research was held in St Francis High School 1 Jakarta, the male and female students started from class X, XI IPA (Science), XI IPS (Social Studies) the method that used are descriptive quantitative methods, and questionnaires techniques. Based on the analysis that taken, the results for the role of teacher guidance and counseling are Lower = 96.3046 and Upper = 101.2454 with average of 98.77500. And thitung = 80.875> ttable = 1699 at α = 0.05. Based on the calculation results and the discussion above, the conclusion is there is the role of guidance and counseling teachers in building character in St Francis High School 1 Jakarta. So, base on the results the role of guidance and counseling teachers in St. Fransiskus High School have a significant role. KeyWord: Character, Guidance and Counseling Teacher
