Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang hubungan antara konseling individu dengan motivasi belajar peserta didik di SMP Santa Lusia Virgini Bekasi. Kajiannya dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya motivasi belajar siswa. Sedangkan konseling individu merupakan suatu wadah menumbuhkembangkan motivasi belajar tersebut. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab permasalahan: Adakah Hubungan antara Konseling Individu dengan Motivasi Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas VIII di SMP Santa Lusia Virgini Bekasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: Adakah Hubungan antara Konseling Individu (X), dengan Motivasi Belajar Peserta Didik (Y). Dalam metode ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, yaitu metode survey, subyek penelitian sebanyak 100 responden 20 uji coba dan 80 sampelnya, dalam penelitian ini peneliti menarik sampel dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling atau acak pada arisan (dikocok), agar sampel penelitian ini mewakili seluruh anggota populasi. Selain itu dari anggota populasi juga mengambil data uji coba instrumen (kalibrasi instrumen). Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket sebelum digunakan untuk mendapatkan data yang objektif, terlebih dahulu dilakukan pengujian validitas dan reabilitas.Data penelitian yang terkumpul di analisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini, bahwa konseling individu memiliki hubungan dengan motivasi belajar peserta didik sebesar 0,517 atau 51,7%. Ditinjau dari berdasarkan tabel pedoman interprestasi koifisien korelasi menurut Sugiyono, maka hubungan antara konseling individu dengan motivasi belajar peserta didik korelasinya bersifat Cukup kuat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini di harapkan akan menjadi bahan informasi dan masukan bagi civitas akademik, para mahasiswa, para tenaga pengajar, terutama kepada jajaran pengurus dan guru SMP Santa Lusia Virgini Bekasi, agar dalam memberi dorongan kepada siswa senantiasa meningkatkan motivasi belajar. This material was supported by the importance of students’ motivation. While individual counseling is a place to develop the motivation to learn. This research is purposed for answering the problem: is there any correlation between Individual counseling to Students’ motivation at grade VIII in the Santa LusiaVirgini Junior High School Bekasi. This research purposes to determine: is there any correlation between the Individual counseling (X) to Students’motivation (Y). In this method the writer uses quantitative research methods, the method of the survey, the subject of the research were 100 respondents 20 trials and 80 samples, in this research the researchers took a sample by using technique of simple random sampling or random at the gathering, so that the sample is representative of the entire members of the population. Beside that members of the population may take trial data instrument ( instrument calibration ) too. Collecting data uses a questionnaire before being used to obtain objective data,the writer must do validity and reliability test. The research data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of this research is Individual counseling has a correlation to Students’ motivation about 0,517 or 51,7%. According Sugiyono “based on table of the interpretation guidelines coefficient correlation between individual counseling to students’ motivation is Strong Enough correlation. Based on this research is expected to be the subject of information and idea for the academic community, the students, the faculty, especially to all staff and teachers of Santa LusiaVirgini Junior High School Bekasi, in order for giving motivation and supporting to students may improve their students’ learning motivation.
