Abstract

Indonesia is currently faced with the problem of transnational crime. one of the problems faced by the Indonesian nation today regarding drug emergencies smuggled by drug syndicates from China is Manifold Methamphetamine or Shabu. The author will examine "Indonesia-China Cooperation in Overcoming Drug Trafficking in Indonesia in 2015-2016 (Case Study: BNN-NNCC). The title was chosen because the author was interested in seeing the form of cooperation that had been realized by the Indonesian government with the Chinese government through the National Narcotics Agency and the NNCC and the results of successful collaborations to overcome the drug smuggling. There are two formulations of the problem in this study, namely: (1). What is done by Indonesia - China through the BNN - NNCC in realizing its cooperation to tackle drug smuggling in Indonesia? (2). What is the result of cooperation between Indonesia and China through BNN - NNCC in tackling drugs in Indonesia? So that to answer the formulation of the problem the writer uses two theories / concepts as the main foundation in conducting this research. Both theories / concepts are: (1). National Interest Theory, (2). The concept of transnational crime. In conducting this research the author uses qualitative methodology with the type of descriptive analysis to describe the phenomena that occur in this study. The data obtained from this writing came from related documents and the interview process with Mr. Kombes Pol. Drs. Sulistiandriatmoko, S.H., M.Sc. as the Head of Public Relations of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), and Mr. Drs. Arman Depari as Head of the National Narcotics Agency Deputy for Eradication. This writing describes the efforts made by the Indonesian government and the Chinese government in tackling drug smuggling in Indonesia. In these efforts the Indonesian government took diplomatic steps bilaterally with China and real domestic efforts, Indonesia cooperated with China has been established from the MoU March 23, 2012 until now.
