Abstract

Political practice in a democratic country is a combination of various efforts to fulfill interests or needs from each elements and individual. These interests or needs are ultimately integrated into social groups. The Majority of Identity becoming a manifestation for fulfill political interest in a society through efforts to equalize interests in order to get support from various majority identities. Politics becomes the arena of identity struggle, than cannot be denied in any democratic country. The easiest way to see it is in the holding of elections, including the second round of Provincial Election in DKI Jakarta. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach through data collection techniques of literature study and interview studies to describe identity politics in the second round of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Election in 2017. As The result, identitity. Resistant identity is the identity of rational and emotional voter behavior, the Pancasila and Anti Pancasila people and the common fate of social problems. Furthermore, the Project Identity is in the form of the nickname of sarcasm towards supporters of certain candidates who turn into supporting identities, and the replacement of certain word Keywords : Politics of Identity, Democracy, Second Round of Pemilukada DKI Jakarta 2017
