Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pascakonflik tahun 2022 yang dialami oleh masyarakat Negeri Kariu. Konflik tersebut menyisakan luka sosial dan psikologis bagi kelompok rentan, khususnya anak-anak Kristen di Negeri Kariu. Selain itu, hubungan sosial antara Negeri Kariu dengan dua Negeri yang berkonflik, yakni Pelauw dan Ory masih renggang dan tegang hingga saat ini. Dalam konteks tersebut, Gereja Protestan Maluku menawarkan bentuk resiliensi berbasis Kristen bagi masyarakat Kariu yaitu Ibadah Pergumulan. Sekali pun bersifat spiritual, rohani, dan Kristen, namun ibadah pergumulan dapat menjadi ruang pendidikan perdamaian bagi anak-anak Kristen penyintas konflik. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: 1). Menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan proses implementasi ibadah pergumulan sebagai pendidikan perdamaian Agama Kristen bagi anak-anak Kristen penyintas konflik di Negeri Kariu. 2). Mengidentifikasi dan mengkaji pemaknaan anak-anak Kristen penyintas konflik di Negeri Kariu terhadap pengalaman ibadah pergumulan sebagai pendidikan perdamaian Agama Kristen. 3). Mengkaji peluang dan tantangan dalam penerapan ibadah pergumulan sebagai pendidikan perdamaian Agama Kristen bagi anak-anak Kristen penyintas konflik di Negeri Kariu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, agar dapat mendalami pengalaman dan pemaknaan anak-anak Kristen penyintas konflik di Negeri Kariu dalam mengikuti ibadah pergumulan sebagai pendidikan perdamaian Agama Kristen. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan fenomenologi yang ditawarkan oleh John W. Creswell dengan mengacu pada pendekatan Moustakas. Analisis data dimulai dengan menemukan makna dari pengalaman informan dengan bantuan perangkat Nvivo 14, untuk meninjau horizontalitas yaitu kutipan yang signifikan, kemudian dikelompokan ke dalam tema-tema. Selanjutnya, dilakukan juga deskripsi tekstural, deksripsi struktural, hingga menemukan esensi atau hakikat pengalaman informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi ibadah pergumulan tidak hanya sebagai ruang spiritual bagi masyarakat Kariu saja, namun dapat digolongkan sebagai pendidikan perdamaian Agama Kristen yang bersifat tranformatif, intergenerasional, dan bermakna sebagai bentuk positive peace. Oleh karena itu penulis menyarankan supaya bentuk tantangan dalam ibadah pergumulan seperti distraksi sosial, digital, fisiologis dapat ditangani oleh pihak gereja. Kemudian rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat dikembangkan dengan menciptakan kurikulum pendidikan perdamaian Agama Kristen berbasis ibadah pergumulan, menyediakan bentuk refleksi dan doa-doa sebagai bahan pembelajaran perdamaian. Tetapi juga evaluasi dapat dilakukan terkait efektivitas ibadah pergumulan pascakonflik yang lakukan selama bertahun-tahun untuk merawat perdamaian. Kata kunci: Anak-anak Kristen Penyintas Konflik, Ibadah Pergumulan, Negeri Kariu, Pendidikan Perdamaian Agama Kristen. / This study was motivated by the 2022 post-conflict situation experienced by the community of Negeri Kariu. The conflict left social and psychological scars on vulnerable groups, particularly Christian children in Negeri Kariu. Furthermore, social relations between Negeri Kariu and the two communities involved in the conflict Pelauw and Ory remain strained and tense to this day. In this context, the Maluku Protestant Church offers a form of Christian-based resilience for the Kariu community, namely the “Ibadah Pergumulan” (Worship of Struggle). Although it is spiritual, religious, and Christian in nature, the “Ibadah Pergumulan” can serve as a space for peace education for Christian children who are survivors of the conflict. The objectives of this study are: 1) To analyze and describe the implementation process of the “Ibadah Pergumulan” as Christian peace education for Christian children who are conflict survivors in Kariu Village. 2) To identify and examine the interpretations of Christian children who are conflict survivors in Kariu regarding their experiences with the “Ibadah Pergumulan” as Christian peace education. 3). To examine the opportunities and challenges in applying “worship of struggle” as Christian peace education for Christian children who are survivors of conflict in Negeri Kariu. This study employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences and interpretations of Christian children who are survivors of conflict in Negeri Kariu as they participate in “worship of struggle” as Christian peace education. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted using the phenomenological stages proposed by John W. Creswell, drawing on Moustakas’s approach. The analysis began by identifying the meanings of the informants’ experiences using the NVivo 14 software to review “horizontal” elements that is, significant quotes which were then grouped into themes. Subsequently, textural and structural descriptions were conducted to uncover the essence or nature of the informants’ experiences. The research findings indicate that the implementation of “worship of struggle” serves not only as a spiritual space for the Kariu community but can also be classified as Christian peace education that is transformative, intergenerational, and meaningful as a form of positive peace. Therefore, the author suggests that challenges in “worship of struggle” such as social, digital, and physiological distractions—be addressed by the church. Recommendations for future research include developing a Christian peace education curriculum based on “worship of struggle,” incorporating forms of reflection and prayers as learning materials for peace. Furthermore, an evaluation can be conducted regarding the effectiveness of post-conflict worship services of struggle that have been conducted over the years to foster peace.
