Abstract

Fenomena gender fluid di Indonesia saat ini masih menghadapi resistensi dari standar maskulinitas tradisional. Ruang digital menjadi wadah alternatif bagi kelompok LGBTQ+ untuk mengekspresikan jati diri, mencari ruang aman, dan membangun komunitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji negosiasi identitas gender fluid di ruang digital dalam menyikapi standar maskulinitas melalui pendekatan Displinary Power Foucault, Konsep Taktik Negosiasi de Certeau, dan Pendekatan gender Performatif Judith Butler. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara, sedangkan data sekunder dikumpulkan melalui buku, jurnal, laporan, dan informasi internet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa negosiasi identitas dijalankan melalui taktik praktis seperti pemisahan akun media sosial, penggunaan nama samaran, kurasi konten ekspresif, pembentukan komunitas privat, dan literasi digital. Penerapan taktik tersebut pada akhirnya bermuara pada tiga dampak sosial yang nyata, yaitu penolakan dan eksklusi secara struktural, situasi ambivalensi sosial yang menempatkan subjek dalam ketidakpastian penerimaan, serta terciptanya ruang ko-eksistensi terbatas untuk hidup berdampingan dengan masyarakat lokal melalui kompromi perilaku. Meskipun ekspresi gender fluid menghadapi kendala berupa perundungan siber dan pembatasan algoritma, negosiasi identitas tetap berjalan melalui adaptasi komunitas demi mempertahankan kebebasan berekspresi. Kata Kunci: Gender Fluid; LGBTQ+; Maskulinitas; Negosiasi: Ruang Digital / The phenomenon of gender fluidity in Indonesia still faces resistance from traditional standards of masculinity. The digital space serves as an alternative platform for LGBTQ+ groups to express their identity, seek safe spaces, and build communities. This study aims to examine the negotiation of gender-fluid identity in the digital space in response to masculinity standards, using Foucault’s Disciplinary Power, de Certeau’s Concept of Tactics of Negotiation, and Judith Butler’s Gender Performativity approach. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Primary data were obtained through interviews, while secondary data were collected from books, journals, reports, and internet sources. The results indicate that identity negotiation is carried out through practical tactics, such as separating social media accounts, using pseudonyms, curating expressive content, forming private communities, and digital literacy. The implementation of these tactics ultimately results in three distinct social outcomes: structural rejection and exclusion, a state of social ambivalence that leaves subjects in a state of uncertain acceptance, and the creation of a limited co-existence that allows subjects to live alongside the local community through behavioral compromise. Although gender-fluid expression faces challenges in the form of cyberbullying and algorithmic restrictions, identity negotiation continues through community adaptation to maintain freedom of expression.
