Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi ini menganalisis implementasi Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT Freeport Indonesia dalam pembangunan masyarakat adat Amungme dan Kamoro melalui kemitraan dengan Yayasan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Amungme dan Kamoro (YPMAK) di wilayah pegunungan Kabupaten Mimika periode 2015–2024. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran perusahaan tambang dalam mendukung pembangunan sosial, ekonomi, pendidikan, kesehatan, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat adat di sekitar wilayah operasional perusahaan. CSR tidak hanya dipandang sebagai kewajiban perusahaan, tetapi juga sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab sosial dalam menciptakan hubungan harmonis dan pembangunan berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat adat Amungme dan Kamoro wilayah pegunungan Kabupaten Mimika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi program (CSR) PT Freeport Indonesia yang difokuskan pada pemberdayaan Masyarakat Amungme dan Kamoro (YPMAK). Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi efektivitas tranformasi model kemitraan dari dana kemitraan menjadi bentuk yayasan yang lebih mandiri pada periode 2015 – 2024. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sinergi antara PTFI dan YPMAK telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap akses pendidikan melalui pemberian beasiswa dan pembangunan sarana kesehatan di wilayah terpencil. Namun, tantangan tetap ditemukan pada aspek keberlanjutan ekonomi mandiri dan adaptasi sosial budaya masyarakat lokal terhadap perubahan industri yang cepat. Kata kunci: CSR, PT Freeport, YPMAK, Amungme, Kamoro, Pembangunan Masyarakat. / ABSTRACT This thesis analyzes the implementation of PT Freeport Indonesia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the development of the Amungme and Kamoro indigenous communities through a partnership with the Amungme and Kamoro Community Empowerment Foundation (YPMAK) in the highland area of Mimika Regency during the 2015–2024 period. This research is motivated by the important role of mining companies in supporting social, economic, educational, health and empowerment of indigenous communities around the company’s operational areas. CSR is not only seen as a company obligation, but also as a form of social responsibility in creating harmonious relationships and sustainable development for the Amungme and Kamoro indigenous communities in the mountainous region of Mimika Regency. This research aims to analyze the implementation of PT Freeport Indonesia’s (CSR) program which is focused on empowering the Amungme and Kamoro Community (YPMAK). The main focus of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the transformation of the partnership model from partnership funds to a more independent form of in period of 2015 – 2024. Research shows that the synergy between PTFI and YPMAK has made a significant contribution to access to education through providing scholarships and building health facilities in remote areas. However, challenges remain in the aspects of independent economic sustainability and the socio-cultural adaptation of local communities to rapid industrial changes.
