Abstract

Agama di Indonesia memiliki enam ragam agama yang masing-masing memiliki cara menganut dan pengajarannya berbeda-beda. Dalam hal ini, penelitian dilakukan bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi perlindungan hak kebebasan beragama dalam penegakan hukum di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada perlindungan hukum terhadap umat Kristen yang mengalami persekusi, pelarangan ibadah, dan pengrusakan gereja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis hukum normatif dan yuridis empiris untuk memahami bagaimana hukum dan kebijakan pemerintah terkait dengan perlindungan hak kebebasan beragama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi perlindungan hak kebebasan beragama di Indonesia masih menghadapi tantangan, termasuk kurangnya kesadaran hukum dan penegakan hukum yang tidak efektif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan kesadaran hukum dan penegakan hukum yang lebih efektif untuk melindungi hak kebebasan beragama di Indonesia./Religion in Indonesia has six types of religions, each of which has a different way of practicing and teaching. In this case, the study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the implementation of the protection of the right to freedom of religion in law enforcement in Indonesia, with a focus on legal protection for Christians who experience persecution, prohibition of worship, and destruction of churches. This study uses normative legal analysis methods and empirical juridical to understand how government laws and policies relate to the protection of the right to freedom of religion. The results of the study show that the implementation of the protection of the right to freedom of religion in Indonesia still faces challenges, including a lack of legal awareness and ineffective law enforcement. Therefore, this study recommends increasing legal awareness and more effective law enforcement to protect the right to freedom of religion in Indonesia.
