Abstract
Penelitian ini sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mengkaji peran orangtua dan gereja dalam mengedukasi pendidikan seks kepada anak remaja usia 15-17 tahun di Gereja HKI Resort Khusus Pirmatoba. Masa remaja merupakan periode transisi yang rentan terhadap pengaruh negatif termasuk perilaku seksual yang menyimpang. Pendidikan seks yang diberikan sejak dini oleh orangtua dan gereja memiliki peranan penting dalam membangun pemahaman yang benar dan bertanggung jawab mengenai seksualitas sesuai dengan nilai-nilai agama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan melibatkan remaja, orangtua dan pemimpin gereja. Dari hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan seks di lingkungan keluarga dan gereja masih minim sekali dilakukan karena dianggap tabu. Akibatnya, remaja sering mencari informasi dari sumber yang tidak dapat dipercaya seperti media sosial atau teman sebaya, yang dapat menyebabkan perilaku yang tidak diinginkan. Penelitian ini menekankan penting nya sinergi antara orangtua dan gereja dalam memberikan pendidikan seks yang komprehensif dan sesuai dengan ajaran agama. Orangtua diharapkan dapat menjadi pendidik utama yang memberikan informasi secara terbuka, sementara gereja dapat mendukung melalui kegiatan seperti seminar, bimbingan konseling dan pendalaman alkitab. Upaya bersama ini diharapkan dapat membantu remaja memahami konsekuensi dari perilaku seksual, menjaga diri dan membangun karakter yang bertanggu jawab. / This research is an effort to examine the role of parents and churches in educating sex education to teenagers aged 15-17 years at the HKI Church, Pirmatoba Special Resort. Adolescence is a transitional period that is vulnerable to negative influences including deviant sexual behaviour. Sex education provided early on by parents and churches has an important role in building a correct and responsible understanding of sexuality in accordance with religious values. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation involving teenagers, parents and church leaders. From the results of this study, the researcher concluded that sex education in the family and church environment is still minimal because it is considered taboo. As a result, teenagers often seek information from unreliable sources such as social media or peers, which can lead to unwanted behaviour. This research emphasises the importance of synergy between parents and churches in providing comprehensive sex education in accordance with religious teachings. Parents are expected to be the primary educators who provide information openly, while the church can support through activities such as seminars, counselling and biblical studies. This joint effort is expected to help adolescents understand the consequences of sexual behaviour, protect themselves and build responsible character.
