Abstract

Opini Masyarakat Tentang Komunikasi Gubernur Dan Tokoh Adat Mengenai Konflik Tanah Ulayat Di Sumba Timur Opini Masyarakat Tentang Komunikasi Gubernur Dan Tokoh Adat Mengenai Konflik Tanah Ulayat Di Sumba Timur Perdebatan antara Gubernur Viktor dan Tokoh Adat Umbu Maramba Hawu mengenai konflik tanah ulayat di Sumba Timur terus berlanjut hingga Gubernur mengeluarkan kata-kata yang tidak pantas untuk dilontarkan apalagi beliau adalah seorang pemimpin di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Pada era digital mesti berhati-hati dalam bertindak dan bertutur kata karena jejak digital akan selalu ada sampai kapan pun sehingga berbagai opini berdatangan dari pihak yang pro maupun kontra dengan Gubernur Viktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana Opini Masyarakat Tentang Komunikasi Gubernur Dan Tokoh Adat Mengenai Konflik Tanah Ulayat Di Sumba Timur? Untuk membantu peneliti melihat gambaran opini masyarakat maka peneliti menggunakan konsep opini publik oleh Cutlip dan Center dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa opini masyarakat tentang komunikasi Gubernur dan tokoh adat dinilai tidak etis, kasar, arogan, tidak mencerminkan seorang pemimpin, dan memberikan citra buruk terhadap daerah Nusa Tenggara Timur namun masyarakat tetap mendukung program Gubernur Viktor untuk mengelola tanah ulayat sebagai rens peternakan sapi wagyu. Masyarakat Sumba Timur tetap mendukung dan mempercayakan lahan tersebut kepada Gubernur Viktor demi kepentingan dan kemajuan Sumba Timur. Penelitian ini, menemukan bahwa komunikasi bukanlah panasea universal atau komunikasi bukanlah solusi dari semua konflik karena banyak persoalan justru disebabkan oleh komunikasi. Community Opinion About Communication of the Governor and Traditional Leaders Concerning Ulayat Land Conflicts in East Sumba Community Opinion About Governor Communication and Traditional Leaders Regarding Ulayat Land Conflicts in East Sumba The debate between Governor Viktor and the customary leader Umbu Maramba Hawu regarding the communal land conflict in East Sumba continued until the Governor issued words that were inappropriate to say, especially since he is a leader in East Nusa Tenggara. In the digital era, we must be careful in what we act and speak because digital footprints will always be there at any time, so that various opinions come from those who are pro or con with Governor Viktor. This study aims to see how the public opinion about the communication of the governor and traditional leaders regarding the communal land conflict in East Sumba? To help researchers see a picture of public opinion, researchers use the concept of public opinion by Cutlip and Center using descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the study found that public opinion regarding the communication of the Governor and traditional leaders was considered unethical, rude, arrogant, did not reflect a leader, and gave a bad image of the East Nusa Tenggara region, but the community still supported Governor Viktor's program to manage customary land as a wagyu cattle breeding plan. The people of East Sumba continue to support and entrust the land to Governor Viktor for the interests and progress of East Sumba. This research finds that communication is not a universal panacea or communication is not the solution to all conflicts because many problems are caused by communication.
