Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis “Pengaruh Peran Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan Terhadap Kepercayaan Masyarakat Pada Bank Perekonomian Rakyat Pasca Penutupan Oleh Otoritas Jasa Keuangan”. Dalam periode 2006 hingga 2024, sebanyak 142 BPR/BPRS ditutup, termasuk 38 bank di wilayah Jabodetabek. Penutupan bank yang terjadi dapat memicu penurunan kepercayaan masyarakat, bukan hanya terhadap bank yang ditutup, tetapi juga terhadap BPR lainnya yang masih beroperasi. LPS sebagai lembaga penjamin simpanan memiliki fungsi strategis dalam menjaga stabilitas sistem keuangan dengan menjamin simpanan hingga Rp2 miliar per nasabah per bank. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatori dengan metode survei terhadap 100 responden yang berdomisili di wilayah Jabodetabek, yang dipilih menggunakan metode Cochran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran LPS berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepercayaan masyarakat pada BPR, khususnya dalam hal transparansi informasi, jaminan keamanan dana, dan kecepatan penyelesaian klaim. Selain itu, strategi komunikasi LPS juga terbukti berpengaruh signifikan, terutama melalui pemanfaatan media sosial, publikasi rutin, dan respons cepat terhadap kekhawatiran publik. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi LPS, OJK, dan industri perbankan, yaitu perlunya peningkatan literasi keuangan masyarakat dan penyusunan strategi komunikasi yang lebih terarah untuk meminimalkan risiko penurunan kepercayaan publik pasca penutupan bank. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi referensi dalam kebijakan penjaminan simpanan serta kontribusi bagi penguatan stabilitas sektor keuangan, khususnya BPR yang memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung UMKM dan inklusi keuangan di Indonesia./This research aims to analyze “The influence of the role of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation on Public Trust in People's Credit Banks After Closures by the Financial Services Authority”. Between 2006 and 2024, a total of 142 BPR/BPRS were closed, including 38 banks in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area. Such closures risk eroding public trust not only in the affected banks but also in other operational BPRs. LPS, as a deposit insurance institution, plays a strategic role in maintaining financial system stability by guaranteeing deposits of up to IDR 2 billion per depositor per bank. This study uses an explanatory quantitative approach, surveying 100 respondents residing in the Jabodetabek region, selected using the Cochran method. The results indicate that the role of LPS has a positive and significant effect on public trust in BPR, particularly in aspects of information transparency, deposit security guarantees, and prompt claim resolution. Additionally, LPS’s communication strategies significantly impact public trust, especially through social media utilization, regular publications, and quick responses to public concerns. These findings provide crucial implications for LPS, OJK, and the banking industry, emphasizing the need to improve public financial literacy and develop more targeted communication strategies to mitigate trust erosion following bank closures. The results are expected to serve as references for deposit insurance policy formulation and contribute to strengthening the financial sector’s stability, particularly BPRs, which play a strategic role in supporting MSMEs and financial inclusion in Indonesia.
