Abstract

The background of the research was based on the phenomenon that many teachers still use traditional method to teach students. So, it will be difficult for the students to achieve the learning target. The researcher use animated film as a teaching medium in teaching learning process, especially in writing narrative text teaching. The problem of this research is specifically formulated as follows: “Is there a significant effect of using animated film in writing narrative text teaching to the tenth graders?” This research was an Experimental Research. Data were obtained by giving test to the students before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the researcher gave the treatment. The instrument that was used to collect the data was test. In this case, the researcher asks the students to write narrative text. The test was used to know the effect of using animated film in writing narrative text teaching. Based on the result of the research: (1) The implementation of animated film in writing narrative text teaching started when the researcher taught about narrative text in both the experimental class and control class, the generic structure, the language features of narrative text. Animated film was implemented in experimental class XA, while traditional teaching method was implemented in control class XC. (2) there is significant effect of using animated film in writing narrative text teaching. It can seen from the mean score of the post-test between experimental group and control group. The mean score of post-test in experimental group was 63,17 while the control group was 57,33. (3) animated film give the effect in writing narrative text teaching to the tenth graders of SMA Dharma Putra. It motivates the students to learn the narrative text. It also make the learning process become more interest because it gives a new atmosphere. The students learn the lesson more fun. Animated fil makes the students pay attention to the film, so that they know what they are going to write about the film. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomena bahwa masih banyak guru yang menggunakan metode tradisional untuk mengajar siswa. Jadi, akan sulit bagi para siswa untuk mencapai target belajar. Peneliti menggunakan film animasi sebagai media pengajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar, terutama dalam pengajaran menulis teks narasi. Masalah penelitian ini secara khusus diformulasikan sebagai berikut: “Ada efek yang signifikan menggunakan film animasi dalam pengajaran menulis teks narasi kepada kelas sepuluh?” Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental. Data yang diperoleh dengan memberikan ujian kepada siswa sebelum (pre-test) dan setelah (post-tes) peneliti memberikan pengajaran. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes. Dalam kasus ini, peneliti meminta para siswa untuk menulis teks narasi. Tes digunakan untuk mengetahui efek menggunakan film animasi dalam menulis narasi teks pengajaran Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian: (1) Pengaplikasian film animasi dalam pengajaran menulis teks narasi dimulai ketika peneliti mengajarkan tentang teks narasi di kedua kelas, kontrol dan eksperimen. Struktur generik dan fitur bahasa dalam teks narasi. Film animasi dilaksanakan di kelas eksperimen XA, sementara metode pengajaran tradisional dilaksanakan di kelas kontrol XC. (2) Ada efek signifikan menggunakan film animasi dalam pengajaran menulis teks narasi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata skor post-test antara kelompok eksperimental dan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata skor post-test di kelompok eksperimental adalah 63,17 sementara kelompok kontrol adalah 57,33. (3) Film animasi memberikan efek dalam pengajaran menulis teks narasi di kelas sepuluh SMA Dharma putra. Hal ini memotivasi siswa untuk belajar teks narasi dan membuat proses belajar menjadi lebih menarik karena memberikan suasana yang baru. Belajar lebih menyenangkan. Animasi film membuat para siswa yang memperhatikan film, sehingga mereka tahu apa yang akan mereka menulis tentang film.
