Abstract
Secondary metabolites produced plants used by humans for medicine. Utilization of medicinal plants is related to the content of secondary metabolites owned plants. In the intact plant contains very low levels of secondary metabolites and its formation is often associated with the stage of plant development. In vitro culture is an alternative considered efficient for producing secondary metabolites. One technique used to increase product secondary metabolites in vitro culture is the provision of precursors. Precursors are compound that are at the beginning or in the middle of a secondary product biosynthetic pathways can affect the final product. The addition of precursors in vitro culture will induce the enzymes involved in secondary metabolism. lncreased enzyme will increase the content of secondary metabolites.
