Abstract
A study on the growth of plant callus cultures'cat whisker' kumis kucing (Orthosiphon stamineus Benth). Young leaf' explants of plants O. stamineus cultured on Murashige 'Skoog medium with concentrations of plant growth regulators kinetin O,25;0,50;0,75;1,00 ppm and NAA 2,5; 5,0;.7,5; 10,0 ppm. The result" showed that the initiation of callus initiated on day 7 to day 12. when callus initiation peling fast for 7 day contained in the provision granting NAA 7.5 and 10.0 ppm, while the longest time during the 12-day provision contained in NAA 2.5 ppm. Growth is determined from the callus fresh weight and drv weight of callus. Highest callus fresh weight of 2870 = 176mg and dry weight of callus peak of (572 + 21 mg) are contained in the addition of kinetin at 0.75 ppm and 7.5 ppm NAA
