Abstract

Perancangan pusat psikiatri dengan pendekatan healing architecture di Sentul, Jawa Barat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya kebutuhan akan fasilitas kesehatan jiwa yang mendukung proses penyembuhan secara holistik. Data menunjukkan bahwa Jawa Barat merupakan provinsi dengan prevalensi gangguan kejiwaan tertinggi di Indonesia, sementara ketersediaan fasilitas kesehatan jiwa masih sangat terbatas, khususnya di kawasan Kabupaten Bogor dan sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu, proyek ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah pusat psikiatri yang tidak hanya memenuhi standar medis, namun juga menciptakan lingkungan yang ramah, aman, dan mendukung pemulihan pasien dari sisi psikologis dan emosional. Pendekatan healing architecture diterapkan melalui perancangan ruang yang mempertimbangkan pencahayaan alami, hubungan visual dengan alam, sirkulasi yang jelas dan nyaman, serta penggunaan material dan warna yang menenangkan. Desain ini juga mengintegrasikan kebutuhan pasien dengan berbagai tingkat gangguan kejiwaan, memperhatikan privasi, dan menciptakan ruang interaksi sosial yang positif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur, survei lokasi, analisa potensi tapak, serta pengembangan konsep dan skematik desain. Hasil dari perancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi prototipe pusat psikiatri yang inklusif, adaptif, dan mendukung kesejahteraan mental secara menyeluruh bagi pasien, tenaga medis, serta komunitas di sekitarnya. Kata Kunci: Healing Architecture, Kesehatan Mental, Perancangan Arsitektur, Pusat Psikiatri, Sentul / The design of a psychiatry center using a healing architecture approach located in Sentul, West Java was driven by an increasing demand of psychiatry centric facilities that supports holistic recovery. Data indicates that West Java is the province with the highest prevalence of mental disorders in Indonesia while the availability of adequate psychiatry centric facilities remains inadequate, especially in the Bogor Regency area and its surroundings. Therefore, this project aims to design a psychiatry center that not only meets medical standards but also creates an environment that is friendly, safe, and supports patients' recovery in psychological and emotional means. The healing architecture approach is applied through spatial design that incorporates natural lighting, visual connections with nature, clear and comfortable circulation, and the usage of calming materials and colors. This design also integrates the needs of patients through various levels of mental disorders, respects privacy, and facilitates positive social interactions. The methods used include literature studies, site surveys, environmental analysis, and the development of concept and schematic designs. The resulting design is expected to serve as a prototype for an inclusive, adaptive psychiatry center that holistically supports mental wellbeing for patients, healthcare providers, and the surrounding community.
