Abstract

Konflik Perang Saudara Suriah di Lebanon merupakan salah satu dampak dari Arab Spring yang kemudian berkembang menjadi perang proksi yang dampaknya masih terasa hingga saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana Takhta Suci Vatikan dalam mendorong perdamaian atas konflik Suriah di Lebanon. Dalam kajian ini, digunakan teori Stabilitas Keamanan Regional, Kebijakan Luar Negeri serta konsep perdamaian melalui kebijakan Pacem In Terris yang diusung oleh Santo Paus Yohanes XXIII. Teori ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman terhadap dinamika keamanan di tingkat regional dan bagaimana peran negara menurut kebijakan luar negerinya dalam menyelesaikan konflik serta cara mendamaikannya. Jenis penelitian yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif analisis dengan model deskriptif serta menggunakan metode studi kasus, yang mengacu pada konflik Suriah di Lebanon, serta diharapkan dapat mengungkap sejauh mana kebijakan Vatikan serta upaya Vatikan dalam mendorong perdamaian di tengah konflik Suriah yang berdampak pada stabilitas Lebanon. Vatikan melakukan negoisasi dengan PBB dalam bentuk propaganda serta mendorong negara-negara untuk memahami tanggung jawab bersama agar berhasil dalam mendamaikan konflik Suriah di Lebanon. Kata Kunci: Konfllik Suriah-Lebanon, Pacem In Terris, Perdamaian, Takhta Suci / The Syrian Civil War conflict in Lebanon is one of the impacts of the Arab Spring which later developed into a proxy war whose impact is still felt today. This study aims to analyze how the Holy See of the Vatican in promoting peace over the Syrian conflict in Lebanon. In this study, the theory of Regional Security Stability, Foreign Policy and the concept of peace through the Pacem In Terris policy promoted by Saint Pope John XXIII are used. This theory emphasizes the importance of understanding the dynamics of security at the regional level and how the role of the state according to its foreign policy in resolving conflicts and how to reconcile them. The type of research applied in this study is qualitative analysis with a descriptive model and using a case study method, which refers to the Syrian conflict in Lebanon, and is expected to reveal the extent to which the Vatican's policy and the Vatican's efforts in promoting peace in the midst of the Syrian conflict have an impact on Lebanon's stability. The Vatican negotiates with the UN in the form of propaganda and encourages countries to understand their shared responsibility in order to succeed in reconciling the Syrian conflict in Lebanon.
