Abstract

Octavianus B.Pongbari. Analisis Rendahnya Minat dan Motivasi Siswa Lulusan SMAN 4 Toraja Utara Melanjutkan Pendidikan Ke Perguruan Tinggi di Luar Sulawesi Selatan”. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui rendahnya minat dan motivasi siswa lulusan SMAN 4 Toraja Utara melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi di luar Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2024 sampai dengan April 2024. Metode Penelitian adalah metode peneitian kualitatif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Penyebab rendahnya minat lulusan siswa SMAN 4 Toraja Utara untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi di luar Sulawesi Selatan antara lain kurangnya informasi tentang perguruan tinggi dan dunia kerja, rendahnya tingkat ekonomi keluarga sehingga menuntut peserta didik untuk segera bekerja dalam membantu perekonomian keluarga (2) Upaya untuk meningkatkan minat lulusan SMAN 4 Toraja Utara untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi di luar Sulawesi Selatan adalah memberikan layanan informasi tentang perguruan tinggi dengan memanfaatkan alat teknologi digital pembelajaran yang ada disekolah serta mengikuti bimbingan scholastic (3) Penyebab rendahnya motivasi siswa SMAN 4 Toraja Utara untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi di luar Sulawesi Selatan adalah faktor eksternal dan internal. (4) Upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa SMAN 4 Toraja Utara untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi di luar Sulawesi Selatan adalah dengan memberikan edukasi tentang kehidupan yang lebih baik dalam peerjaan dan ekonomi jika dapat menyelesaikan pendidikan di perguruan tinggi (PT) Kata Kunci : Minat, Motivasi, Perguruan Tinggi. / Octavianus B. Pongbari. Analysis of Low Interest and Motivation of Graduates from SMAN 4 North Toraja in Continuing Higher Education Outside South Sulawesi." This research was conducted to determine the low interest and motivation of graduates from SMAN 4 North Toraja in continuing their education to higher education institutions outside South Sulawesi. This research was conducted from March 2024 to April 2024. The research method used was qualitative research method. The results of the study indicate that (1) Causes of the low interest of SMAN 4 North Toraja graduates in continuing their education to higher education institutions outside South Sulawesi include lack of information about higher education and the job market, low family economic status which demands students to work immediately to support family economy. (2) Efforts to increase the interest of SMAN 4 North Toraja graduates in continuing their education to higher education institutions outside South Sulawesi include providing information services about higher education utilizing digital learning tools available at school and participating in scholastic guidance. (3) Causes of low motivation among SMAN 4 North Toraja students in continuing their education to higher education institutions outside South Sulawesi are external and internal factors. (4) Efforts to increase the motivation of SMAN 4 North Toraja students in continuing their education to higher education institutions outside South Sulawesi include providing education about a better life in terms of employment and economy if they can complete their education in higher education institutions (HEIs).
