Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Akuntabilitas dan Komunikasi Organisasi dengan Efektivitas Kerja Kepala Sekolah Di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kecamatan Bekasi Timur baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama-sama. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dengan teknik korelasional. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner model skala Likert dengan skala penilaian 1 sampai dengan 5 yang terdiri dari 35 pertanyaan untuk masing-masing variabel yang sebelum digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian terlebih dahulu dikalibrasi (diuji coba) dengan menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Adapun populasinya sebanyak 72 kepala sekolah yang dibagi menjadi sampel penelitian sebanyak 42 kepala sekolah dan 20 kepala sekolah untuk uji coba. Pada perhitungan validitas dan reliabilitas uji coba diperoleh instrumen yang valid dan reliabel yaitu variabel Y 34 butir, variabel X1 29 butir dan X2 35 butir. Uji Validitas menggunakan rumus korelasi Product Moment, sedangkan reliabilitas menggunakan test Alpha Cronbach. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji persyaratan analisis yaitu uji normalitas dengan rumus Kolmogorov Smirnov dan uji linearitas regresi. Sedangkan pengujian hipotesis mempergunakan uji korelasi sederhana, korelasi berganda, serta teknik regresi yang terdiri dari regresi linear dan ganda. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa (1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara Akuntabilitas dengan Efektivitas Kerja dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.492 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.242 atau 24.2%. (2) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara Komunikasi Organisasi dengan Efektivitas Kerja dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,818 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.669 atau 66,9%. (3) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara semua variabel bersama-sama dengan koefisien korelasi ganda (R) sebesar 0,826 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.682 atau 68,2%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka peneliti menyimpulkan efektivitas kerja kepala sekolah dipengaruhi oleh berbagai variasi dari akuntabilitas dan komunikasi organisasi. Hal ini berarti dengan meningkatkan akuntabilitas kepala kekolah dan komunikasi organisasi maka efektivitas kerja kepala sekolah akan semakin baik. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan upaya-upaya untuk meningkatkan efektivitas kerja kepala sekolah yang dapat dilakukan melalui peningkatan akuntabilitas dan komunikasi organisasi kepala sekolah. Sehingga kemudian disarankan untuk kepala sekolah agar senantiasa berupaya mengembangkan diri melalui pelatihan dan pendidikan, juga mengembangkan kemampuan berkomunikasi yang baik, agar dapat mencapai tujuan sekolah secara optimal. The Relationship Between Accountability and Organization Communication on Headmasters Work Effectiveness at Public Elementary School in East-Bekasi Sub District. A Thesis of Management and Administration Education, Magister Program of Indonesia Christian University, Jakarta 2014. The aim of the research is to know the correlation between accountability and organization communication on headmasters work effectiveness at Public Elementary School in East-Bekasi Sub District. The research is by applying method of survey and correlation technique. Study toward all Public Elementary School in East-Bekasi Sub District. The researches of population are 72 headmasters, which 42 headmasters as sample of research and 20 headmasters as treatment of research. This research is analyzed descriptively using the method of survey and correlation technique. Data were collected by instruments using Likert scale 1 until 5, instrument used for collecting data consists of 35 items of Y variables, 35 item of X1 variables and 35 items for X2 variables. The calculation of the validity and reliability reveals that there are some questionnaires which are valid and reliable. They are 34 items of Y, 29 items of X1 variable and 35 items of X2 variable. The Technique of data collecting was using the instrument in the form of questionnaire. This instrument is calibrated with the test item validity and reliability coefficient. To test the validity is using Pearson Product Moment correlation, with the reliability coefficient is calculated using the formula of Alpha Cronbach. The analytical requirement is normality test by Kolmogorov Smirnov, and regression linearity test. While the hypothesis test uses simple correlation test, double correlation and regression linier and double regression. The result of data analysis indicates that: (1) there is positive and significant correlation between accountability and work effectiveness of headmaster with correlation coefficient 0.492 and determination coefficient 0.242 or 24.2%. (2) There is positive and significant correlation between organization communication and work effectiveness of headmaster with coefficient 0.818 and determination coefficient 0.669 or 66.9%. (3) There is positive and significant correlation between accountability and organization communication on work effectiveness of headmaster with correlation coefficient 0.826 and determination coefficient 0.682 or 68.2%. From the analysis, it can be concluded that the variety in headmaster work-effectiveness is influenced by accountability and organization communication variety. The implication of this research is an effort in improving the work effectiveness of the headmasters which can be done through improving the accountability and organization communication. It is suggested that increasing accountability headmaster and organization communication can show a good headmasters’ work-effectiveness at school.
