Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kompetensi kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja dengan kinerja guru di sekolah Yayasan Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang. Penelitian dilakukan di Sekolah Yayasan Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang. Penelitian dilakukan selama 3 bulan, yaitu Januari sampai Maret 2013. Variabel penelitian meliputi: variabel bebas yaitu kompetensi kepala sekolah (X1), motivasi kerja (X2) dan variabel terikat yaitu kinerja guru (Y). Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru di sekolah Yayasan Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang, yang terdiri dari 62 orang. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teknik sampling purposif (sampling purposive) dan kuota. Data diperoleh melalui instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dengan skala Likert, dengan rentang skor 1 sampai 5. Validitasi konstruk menggunakan pendekatan iterasi orthogonal. Butir pertanyaan terdiri dari 40 butir untuk masingmasing variabel. Melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas diperoleh kuesioner valid dan reliabel untuk variabel kinerja guru sebanyak 36 butir, kompetensi kepala sekolah sebanyak 35 butir, dan motivasi kerja sebanyak 33 butir. Pengukuran reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Pengujian persyaratan analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji normalitas, dan linieritas. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa data penelitian berdistribusi normal dan hubungan variabelvariabel bersifat linear. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa 1) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru di sekolah Yayasan Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,373 dan nilai thitung (3,112) lebih besar dari ttabel (2,000). Bentuk persamaan regresi linier Ŷ=100,114 + 0,156X1. 2) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi kerja dengan kinerja guru di sekolah Yayasan Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,364 dan nilai thitung (3,026) lebih besar dari ttabel (2,000). Bentuk persamaan regresi linier Ŷ=101, 272 + 0,154X2. 3) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja secara bersama-sama dengan kinerja guru di sekolah Yayasan Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi ganda (R) sebesar 0,401 dan nilai Fhitung (5,652) lebih besar dari Ftabel (3,153). Bentuk persamaan regresi linier ganda Ŷ=95,140 + 1,246X1 – 1,105X2. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja, baik sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama-sama, memiliki hubungan dan bisa memberi sumbangan terhadap perbaikan kinerja guru di sekolah Yayasan Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang. Artinya, bila kompetensi kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja secara bersama-sama ditingkatkan, maka kinerja akan semakin naik. / This research is aimed to know the correlation between competence principal and working motivation with teachers’ duties at the school Foundation Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang. Research conducted at the school of Foundation Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang. Research conducted over the pasted three months, i.e., January to March 2013. The research variable include: indepedent variable: the competence principal (X1), working motivation (X2), and dependent variable of teachers’ duties (Y). The population of this research is the teacher at school of the Foundation Tunas Karya Pangkalpinang whith of 62 teachers. In this research, researchers used the technique of purposive sampling and quota. The Data is obtained by the research instrument in the form of a questionnaire with Likert scale, with a score range of 1 to 5. Validate constructs using orthogonal iteration approach. Questions consist of 40 items for each variables. By the test validity and reliability obtained valid and reliable questionnaire to teachers’ duties variables as much as 36 items, the competence principal by as much as 35 items, and working motivation as much as 33 items. The measurement of reliabilitas using formulas Alpha Cronbach. Testing requirements analysis conducted using a test of normality and linierity. A result of calculation shows that the research data is normal and relations of the variables are linear. The test results showed that the hypothesis 1) there is a positive and significant correlation between competence principal with teachers’ duties at the Tunas Karya Foundation’s school Pangkalpinang. This is showed by the value of the correlation coefficient (r) of 0,373 and skor tcount (3,112) > ttable (2,000). Form the regression equation is linear Ŷ=100,114 + 0,156X1. 2) there is a positive and significant correlations between working motivation with teachers’ duties in the Tunas Karya Foundation’s school Pangkalpinang. This is showed by the value of the correlation coefficient (r) 0.467 and skor tcount (3,026) > ttable (2,000). Form the regression equation is linear Ŷ= 101, 272 0, 154X2. 3) there is a positive and significant correlation between competence principal and working motivation together with teachers’ duties in the Tunas Karya Foundation’s school Pangkalpinang. This is showed by the value of the correlation coefficient (R) of 0,401 and Fcount (5,652) > ftable (3,153). Form the multiple regression equation are linear Ŷ = 95,140 + 1,246x1 - 1,105x2. Based on the results of this research it can be concluded that the competence principal and working motivation have correlation and contribute to improvement for teachers’ duties in the Tunas Karya Foundation’s school Pangkalpinang. That is, the better competence principal and working motivation together, then the better teachers’ duties.
