Abstract

Kopi arabika (Coffea arabica) green bean memiliki potensi melindungi gaster dari gastritis karena mengandung senyawa fenol yang bekerja sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian kopi arabika (Coffea arabica) green bean terhadap gambaran histopatologis mukosa gaster mencit yang telah diintervensi aspirin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode randomized post-test group only selama 7 hari dengan sampel 28 ekor mencit yang dibagi menjadi empat kelompok: kontrol (K) diberi pakan dan air mineral, perlakuan I (KPI) diberikan aspirin 10,4 mg/hari, perlakuan II (KPII) diberikan kopi arabika green bean 0,1 g/hari, dan perlakuan III (KPIII) diberikan aspirin 10,4 mg/hari dan kopi arabika green bean 0,1 g/hari. Gambaran histopatologis mukosa gaster dinilai menggunakan skor Wattimena. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann Whitney dengan menggunakan program SPSS 16.0. Hasil menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna diantara keempat kelompok (p < 0.005), ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara KPI dengan KK, KPII, dan KPIII (p < 0.005); serta perbedaan yang tidak bermakna antara KK dengan KPII dan KPIII, dan KPII dengan KPIII (p > 0.005). Kata kunci: Coffea Arabica, green bean, gastroprotector, antioksidan. / Green bean arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) has the potential to protect the stomach from gastritis because it contains phenolic compounds that work as antioxidants. This study aims to determine the effect of giving green bean arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) on the histopathological picture of the gastric mucosa of mice that have been intervened by aspirin. This study used a randomized post-test group only method for 7 days with a sample of 28 mice which were divided into four groups: control (K) was given food and mineral water, treatment I (KPI) was given aspirin 10.4 mg / day, treatment II ( KPII) was given green bean arabica 0.1 g / day, and treatment III (KPIII) was given aspirin 10.4 mg / day and green bean arabica coffee 0.1 g / day. The histopathological features of the gastric mucosa were assessed using the Wattimena score. The results were analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis test and followed by the Mann Whitney test using the SPSS 16.0 program. The results showed that there were significant differences between the four groups (p <0.005), there were significant differences between KPI and KK, KPII, and KPIII (p <0.005); as well as insignificant differences between KK and KPII and KPIII, and KPII and KPIII (p> 0.005).
