Abstract
Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a manifestation of progressive coronary heart disease (CHD) and in the course of the disease often changes suddenly from unstable or acute state. The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016 estimated death due to CHD as 17.9 million people (31%) and is expected to reach 22.3 million deaths by 2030. It’s important to know the risk factors for ACS, primary prevention can be done to increase health and reduce risk factors so that the incidence of CHD can be reduced. In research on the description of risk factors in Fatmawati General Hospital 2018, it was found that the number of men was 75 patients(53.6%) and 65 women (46.4%). The age range suffered most from ACS at the age of 59-59 years (32.9%). A total of 128 patients (91.4%) had hypertension. Patients with a history of heart disease were 98 patients (70%) and Diabetes Mellitus were 74 patients (52.6%). Patients who smoked were 48 patients (34.4%) and patients with obesity were 15 patients (10,7%). Keywords: acute coronary syndrome, coronary heart disease
