Abstract
Yasinta Stephanie Datrix, Evaluasi Program Pendidikan Karakter di SMP dan SMA Victory Plus – Bekasi. Tesis. Jakarta: Program Studi Magister Manajemen Pendidikan Program Pascaarjana Universitas Kristen Indonesia, 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan program pendidikan karakter siswa SMP dan SMA dengan menyebutkan hal-hal yang perlu diperbaiki, dipertahankan, dan dihilangkan oleh pihak sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah campuran dari metode kuantitatif menggunakan survei dan kualitatif dengan pendekatan wawancara. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMP dan SMA Victory Plus yang berjumlah 318 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang terdiri dari 70 butir pernyataan untuk variabel konsep diri (self concept), manajemen diri (self management) dan pelayanan sosial (social service). Butir-butir pernyataan tersebut untuk mengukur pencapaian karakter siswa SVP berdasarkan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam CHAMPION. Sementara itu instrumen lainnya berupa panduan wawancara untuk siswa dan guru berdasarkan pedoman evaluasi pendidikan karakter yang melihat perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan. Hasil perhitungan statistik menunjukkan rata-rata skor konsep diri (self concept) adalah 2,65; manajemen diri (self management) adalah 2,73; dan pelayanan sosial (social service) adalah 2,73. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata skor karakter siswa terhitung rendah sehingga belum sepenuhnya menggambarkan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam CHAMPION. Hasil wawancara dapat disimpulkan bahwa di setiap bagian perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan dari program pendidikan karakter membutuhkan beberapa hal yang harus diperbaiki, dipertahankan dan dihilangkan. Kesimpulannya adalah hal-hal yang harus diperbaiki, dipertahankan dan ditingkatkan ini terkait dengan kebijakan dan peraturan sekolah, pengawasan kerja untuk guru dan staf, serta struktur organisasi sekolah. This study is aiming to evaluate the plan, implementation and monitoring for character education in Sekolah Victory Plus for secondary level by explaining the things that need to be fixed, maintained, and eliminated. The research method is mixed of quantitative by using a survey and qualitative with in-depth interview. The population is secondary students which in total 318 students. The research instrumen is a questionere with 70 item of questions for three different variables which are self concept, self management, and social service. The questions is aiming to measure the achievement of the character based on the value of CHAMPION. Then, the other instrumen is the guide of interview for teachers and students based on the evaluation guideline of character education which highlights on the plan, implementation, and monitoring procedures. The statistical result shows that the average score of self concept is 2,65; self management is 2,73; and social service is 2,73. As the conclusion, the character description of secondary students is not yet fully satisfied as the CHAMPION values. Then, as the conclusion of the interview, each part of the plan, implementation, and monitoring of character education program still need to be fixed, maintained, or eliminated. The conclusion of this study that things that need to be fixed, maintained or eliminated are related to the policy and school rules, the monitoring system for teacher and staff, and the organisation structur of the school.
