Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas tentang hubungan antara usia dengan kadar HbA1c. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan analitik dengan rancangan cross-sectional correlation. Sampel yang diambil berupa darah vena dari 38 orang subjek penelitian yang dipilih melalui kuesioner dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan kelompok umur terbanyak berada pada rentang usia 30-32 tahun berjumlah 12 orang (30,8%). Kadar HbA1c seluruh sampel berada pada rentang 4,0%-5,9% dengan nilai terbanyak yaitu 4,4% dan 4,6% berjumlah 5 orang (12,8%) dan nilai rata-rata sebesar 4,811%. Terdapat 2 subjek penelitian (5,1%) yang memiliki kadar HbA1c sebesar 5,9%, sehingga bertentangan dengan nilai rujukan HbA1c normal dari ADA yaitu <5,6%. Hal ini dapat disebabkan karena pemilihan sampel hanya dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan tidak dilakukan pemeriksaan lainnya. Hasil uji korelasi dengan uji Spearman Rank, didapatkan adanya korelasi yang lemah (r = 0,212) dan nilai p (0,201) > 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara usia dengan kadar HbA1c pada pria dengan kadar glukosa darah normal. Kata kunci : HbA1c, Pria, Sindroma Metabolik, Diabetes Melitus. / This study is discussing about the correlation between age and HbA1c levels. This research is using descriptive and analytical methods with cross-sectional correlation layout. The sample of this research is a vena blood which was taken from the 38 people who were selected through a questionnaire with purposive sampling technique to picked the subjects. The result of this research shows us that the biggest group in the experiment are within 30-32 years old age group with 12 people in total (30,8%). The HbA1c levels of the entire subjects are ranging from 4,0%-5,9% with the most HbA1c levels are 4.4% and 4.6% consist of 5 people each (12,8%) and the average level is 4,811%. Within this experiment, there are 2 subjects (5,1%) who have 5,9% HbA1c level, and contradict with the level of normal HbA1c based on ADA which is <5.6%. This can caused by when we picked the sample we were only depending on the questionnaires and no other examination were run. From correlation test using the Spearman Rank method, there is a weak correlation (r = 0,212) and p-value (0,201) > 0,05, thus it can be concluded that there is no correlation between age and HbA1c level in men with normal blood glucose.
