Abstract

In the twenty-first century, Pakistani women's right of getting an aducation continues to be an important subject of discussion. Amal Unbound (2018), a novel by Aisha Saaed, similarly describes this situation. This skripsi will highlight the impacts of Amal's struggles with pursuing her education. The present writer applied a close reading methodology along with qualitative research approaches. The present writer engages in close reading by examining the novel's core features, including themes, settings, and characters. The present writer employ a Siciology Literature methodology to examine Amal's educational struggles and it’s impact. This research will show the difference in Amal's struggle to keep on studying, compared to the other girls her age. Her life experience and knowledge have not only helped to form her into a strong and bright girl, but it also given her the freedom to learn and to break free from the bonds of forced labor. The present writer found that Amal's persistence in pursuit of learning had brought a positive impact on herself and the environment where she lived. Keywords: life learning, Pakistani women, patriarchy.
