Abstract

Pendidikan menjadi salah satu indikator terpenting untuk kemajuan suatu wilayah atau negara. Dalam regional Asia Tenggara yaitu anggota-anggota ASEAN selalu berusaha untuk mengedepankan kepentingan dibidang pendidikan, namun masih terdapat rendahnya tingkat pendidikan dibeberapa negara,yang disebabkan oleh karena rendahnya sarana fisik,rendahnya kualitas guru, rendahnya kesejahteraan guru, rendahnya prestasi siswa, rendahnya pemerataan pendidikan, rendahnya relevansi pendidikan dengan kebutuhan, dan mahalnya biaya pendidikan kemudian fasilitas yang tidak begitu mencukupi terutama di daerah-daerah terpencil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran Southeast Asian Minister of Education Organization (SEAMEO) dalam pencapaian pengimplementasian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) melalui program SEA-Teacher. Adapun digunakan pendekatan Teori Organisasi Internasional sebagai bentuk peran dari SEAMEO dan Konsep Sustainable Development Goals sebagai agenda yang harus di implementasikan bersama. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Metode Penelitian Kualitatif dengan jenis Studi Kasus yang bersifat Deskriptifdengan menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Peran SEAMEO dalam mengimplementasikan SDGs poin ke 4.7 mengenai pendidikan untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan dan kewarganegaraan global. Program SEA-Teacher berhasil secara personal meningkatkan kualitas pengajar dalam pedadogi tetapi berdasarakan data belum memenuhi indikator SDGs Indonesia yaitu guru bersertifikat dan guru kualifikasi minimum. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan; ASEAN; SEAMEO; SEA-Teacher; SDGs. / Education is one of the most important indicators for the progress of a region or country. In the Southeast Asian region, ASEAN members always try to prioritize interests in education, but there are still low levels of education in several countries, which are caused by low physical facilities, low teacher quality, low teacher welfare, low student achievement, low education equity, low relevance of education to needs, and the high cost of education then insufficient facilities, especially in remote areas. This research aims to look at the role of the Southeast Asian Minister of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in achieving the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the SEA�Teacher program. The International Organization Theory approach is used as a form of SEAMEO's role and the Sustainable Development Goals concept as an agenda that must be implemented together. The research method used is a Qualitative Research Method with a Descriptive Case Study type using primary and secondary data. SEAMEO's role in implementing SDGs point 4.7 regarding education for sustainable development and global citizenship. The SEA-Teacher program has succeeded in personally improving the quality of teachers in pedagogy but based on data has not met Indonesia's SDGs indicators, namely certified teachers and certified teachers.
