Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model Small Group Discussion dengan hasil belajar siswa yang tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran Small Group Discussion (2) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kimia siswa SMK PSKD 3 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Small Group Discussion. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pretest – postest only Design. Subjek penelitian adalah 88 siswa yang terdiri dari 44 siswa kelas Teknik Pendinginan dan Tata Udara dan Teknik Otomotif sebagai kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan model SGD dan 44 siswa kelas Teknik Kendaraan Ringan dan Multimedia sebagai kolompok kontrol dengan menggunakan model konvensional. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa pretest and postest essay berjumlah 25 soal tervalidasi. Data yang berasal dari nilai pretest dan posttest dianalisis menggunakan uji t dengan Independen Sample Test memanfaatkan program SPSS 21 for windows. Hasil uji normalitas menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov menunjukkan nilai pretes kedua kelompok Sig. 0.200 dan 0.145 > 0.05, sementara uji normalitas postes kedua kelompok Sig. 0.60 dan 0.170 yang berarti data berdistribusi normal, demikian pula hasil uji homogenitas menggunakan uji Levene menunjukkan nilai Sig. 0.625 yang berarti kedua data homogen. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent Sample Test menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, yang berarti Ha diterima atau penggunaan model pembelajaran SGD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa pada materi ikatan kimia. Nilai siswa kelompok eksperimen meningkat dari rata-rata 45.36 poin menjadi 77 poin atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 31.64 poin, lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan rata-rata kolompok kontrol dari 44 poin menjadi 45.27 poin. Kata kunci : Small Group Discussion, Hasil Belajar Siswa, Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Kimia. / This research was conducted to (1) know about the difference between learning outcomes of students who use the small group discussion with learning outcomes of students who do not use the small group discussion; (2) know about the increase of learning outcomes of chemistry students SMK PSKD 3 by using the small group discussion learning model. This research use a pretest – postest only design method. The subjects of this research are 88 students consisting of 44 students from TPTU and TKR class as the group which use the SGD model and 44 students from TO and MM class as the control group which use the conventional model. The instrument is pretest and postest essay with 25 validated numbers. Data is analyzed by t-test and independent sample test using the SPSS 21 program for windows. The normality test use the kolmogorovsmirnov that shows the pretest results of two groups are sig.0.200 and 0.145 which means > 0.05, while the normality test of posttest result is sig.0.60 and 0.170 which means > 0.05, data of pretest and posttest are normal, similarly with the homogenity test shows sig. 0.625 which means both data homogeneous. The hypothesis test use the independent sample test shows that the sig.(2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, which means Ha is accepted or SGD learning models increase the students’ learning outcomes for the chemical bond topic. The students’ scores of the experiment group is increased from average 45.36 points to 77 points or increase 31.64 points, higher than average group control of 44 points to 45.27 points.
