Abstract

Penelitian ini mengupas secara mendalam peran ECPAT terkait sisi gelap wisata panti asuhan Bali. Isu yang diangkat mengenai mobilitas masuknya wisatawan-wisatawan mancanegara menciptakan akses-akses yang sangat mengkhawatirkan khususnya dalam bidang perlindungan anak panti. Panti asuhan adalah sebuah produk yang mewakili antara persimpangan pemilik panti asuhan untuk mendapatkan pendanaan dan keinginan wisatawan sukarela dalam berbagai cara. Pendekatan teori kritis Max Horkheimer akan digunakan untuk menganalisis isu masalah yang akan dibahas. Ia digunakan untuk memahami dan menganalisis suatu kekuatan yang ada di dalam keadaan tersebut untuk merangsang adanya perubahan seseorang terbebas dalam keterbelengguan sebuah kekuasaan anak-anak di dalam panti asuhan yaitu Peran ECPAT sebagai organisasi yang berfokus menuntaskan child sex tourism anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep eksploitasi dan child sex tourism dan menggunakan metode studi kasus untuk menganalisis secara mendalam serta mengungkap peranan yang mendorong pelembagaan anak yang tidak perlu, perdagangan anak dan eksploitasi serta mengukur keseluruhan keterlibatan sektor pariwisata dalam pariwisata panti asuhan. Selain itu, penelitian ini memberikan informasi yang berharga untuk menyadarkan masyarakat, pemerintah serta relawan terkait realita wisata panti asuhan yang kompleks. Kata Kunci: Pariwisata Sex Anak; Wisata Panti Asuhan; ECPAT. / This research explores in depth the role of ECPAT in relation to the dark side of Bali orphanage tourism. The issue raised regarding the mobility of the influx of foreign tourists creates very worrying accesses, especially in the field of orphanage child protection. The orphanage is a product that represents the intersection of the orphanage owner's need for funding and the desire for tourists to volunteer in various ways. Max Horkheimer's critical theory approach will be used to analyse the issues. It is used to understand and analyse a force that exists within the situation to stimulate a change in a person to be free from the shackles of a child's power within the orphanage, namely ECPAT's role as an organisation that focuses on addressing child sex tourism. This research uses the concepts of exploitation and child sex tourism and uses the case study method to analyse in depth and uncover the roles that drive unnecessary institutionalisation of children, child trafficking and exploitation and measure the overall involvement of the tourism sector in orphanage tourism. In addition, this research provides valuable information to sensitise the public, government and volunteers to the complex realities of orphanage tourism.
