Abstract

Diabetes melitus menjadi salah satu dari empat penyakit tidak menular prioritas yang menjadi target tindak lanjut oleh para pemimpin dunia. Diperkirakan diabetes melitus di dunia terdapat sekitar 463 juta orang dan diprediksikan akan meningkat lagi mencapai 578 juta di tahun 2030 dan 700 juta di tahun 2045. Prevalensi kejadian di wilayah Jakarta Timur 32.400 penderita. Tujuan : Dapat menerapkan asuhan keperawatan pasien DM Tipe II yang mengalami ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah dengan edukasi diet seimbang di RS UKI dan Pusdikkes Jakarta. Metode : Desain penelitian menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan melalui metode wawancara, observasi, dan pemeriksaan fisik. Studi kasus dilakukan pada dua pasien dengan kondisi atau diagnosis medis yang sama. Hasil : Pasien 1 tidak ada mual dan muntah, nutrisi terpenuhi dengan baik, dengan GDS awal 400 mg/dl dan GDS akhir 141 mg/dl, sedangkan pada pasien 2 masih mual dan muntah 1 kali, nutrisi tidak terpenuhi, dengan GDS awal 246 mg/dl dan GDS akhir 110 mg/dl. Diskusi : Memberikan edukasi kesehatan tentang diet seimbang dapat membantu meningkatkan terpenuhinya nutrisi pada pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe II. Kata kunci : Diabetes Melitus Tipe II, Ketidakstabilan Kadar Glukosa Darah, Nutrisi, Edukasi Kesehatan. / Diabetes mellitus is one of the four priority non-communicable diseases that are the target of follow-up by world leaders. It is estimated that there are around 463 million people with diabetes mellitus in the world and it is predicted that it will increase again to reach 578 million in 2030 and 700 million in 2045. The prevalence of the incident in East Jakarta is 32,400 sufferers. Objective: To be able to apply nursing care for Type II DM patients who experience unstable blood glucose levels with balanced diet education at UKI Hospital and Pusdikkes Jakarta. Methods: The research design used a descriptive approach to the nursing process through interviews, observations, and physical examinations. A case study was conducted on two patients with the same medical condition or diagnosis. Results: Patient 1 had no nausea and vomiting, nutrition was well met, with initial GDS of 400 mg/dl and final GDS of 141 mg/dl, while patient 2 still had nausea and vomiting once, nutrition was not met, with initial GDS of 246 mg /dl and final GDS 110 mg/dl. Discussion : Providing health education about a balanced diet can help increase the fulfillment of nutrition in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus.
