Summary : Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, postponements in meeting business contract obligations can be managed by invoking the Force Majeure provisions outlined in Presidential Decree Number 12 of 2020 regarding the Declaration of the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Non-Natural Disaster as a National Disaster. Numerous issues have emerged concerning business contracts during this pandemic, impacting various facets of the business landscape, particularly in Indonesia. This legal study employs the normative method, a procedure for discovering legal rules. The data utilized is secondary, encompassing primary legal materials such as regulations related to the Civil Code and Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 11 of 2020 concerning the Acceleration of Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Secondary data sources are derived from various outlets, including books, expert opinions in the literature, articles, dissertations, journals, and specialized scientific works discussing Force Majeure in business contracts during the COVID-19 era. The government has implemented legal policy measures, outlined in Presidential Decree No. 12 year 2020 regarding the Declaration of the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Non-Natural Disaster as a National Disaster. Consequently, the execution of business contract obligations must persist, even if challenging, and it is imperative to heed the relevant policies as the legal foundation for Force Majeure.
