Abstract

Kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi Teorema Pythagoras dan buku teks pelajaran yang minim contoh nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mendasari peneliti melakukan penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul matematika berbasis pembelajaran kontekstual pada materi Teorema Pythagoras kelas VIII yang layak digunakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua tahapan, yaitu tahap penelitian dan tahap pengembangan. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa data wawancara diolah dengan cara analisis data kualitatif, sedangkan untuk data angket diolah dengan cara analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul matematika berbasis pembelajaran kontekstual pada materi Teorema Pythagoras kelas VIII valid dan layak digunakan dengan kategori baik dan nilai validitas rata-rata sebesar 4.05. / Student’s difficulties in understanding the Pythagorean Theorem material and textbooks that lack real examples in everyday life are the reasons for researchers to conduct this research. The aim of this research is to produce a mathematics module based on contextual learning on Pythagorean Theorem material for class VIII that is suitable for use. The research method used is research and development. This research divided into two stages, namely the research stage and the development stage. The data obtained in this research in the form of interview data was processed using qualitative data analysis, while the questionnaire data was processed using quantitative data analysis. The results of the research show that the mathematics module based on contextual learning on Pythagorean Theorem material for class VIII is valid and suitable for use with a good category and an average validity value of 4.05.
