Abstract
Background: Delayed development is a condition where a child experiences a delay in one or more developments. These developments include gross and fine motor, speech and language, cognitive and performance, social, psychological, and daily life activities. Objective: to determine physiotherapy management of delayed development conditions using electro therapy modalities and exercise therapy. to reduce pain and help the patient's sitting functional activities. Method: the method used is a case study of data from one patient with delayed development from February 13 to March 10, 2023 at RSKD Duren Sawit, Data collection is done by interview using instruments, wong baker scale, stopwatch and Gross Motor Function Measurement. Results: the results obtained after 5 times of therapy were a reduction in pain where before therapy the pain scale was 4 with the wong baker scale while after therapy it became 2 which had a difference of 2 values. For children's functional activities measured by Gross Motor Function Measurement, the results obtained a value of 14 while after therapy obtained a value of 23 with a difference of 9 values. Conclusion: Electrical stimulation can help stimulate muscles and exercise therapy can help improve sitting functional activities in children so that children can sit balanced independently. Keyword: delay development, electrical stimulation, and exercise therapy
