Abstract

Humans want efficiency and a more practical life. Combining two functions from two different tools. For example, a Window AC is used to cool a room. AC Window has the main function as an air conditioner, it turns out it also produces side products in the form of heat which until now has not been used optimally in everyday life. This heat can actually be used for other things. AC Window ¾ PK by providing an additional condenser pipe as a water heater which is wrapped around a water holding tube that utilizes the heat coming out of the condenser. Process in the AC This window starts with testing the window AC pipe ¾ PK and then obtaining the value from the condenser heat pipe , the initial and final water temperature of the condenser. This value is used as a reference in determining the mass flow rate. This mass flow rate is used as input in determining the convection coefficient. can be determined the overall heat transfer coefficient. Based on the condenser heat capacity, the overall heat transfer coefficient, the difference in the average temperature and diameter of the pipe so that it can be determined how much is the water heater tube volume. Made of water heaters with Window AC ¾ PK. After the installation is complete, testing is done on the tool. From the results of the tests carried out, heat the initial pipe 35˚C and heat the final pipe 59˚C and the initial water temperature 29 ° C and the water temperature after testing at 46 ° C, requiring pipes with length, 6 m, copper pipe material with size ukuran = 6.4 Inch using 5 pipe windings. The outer surface area of windings is 29.5 m2. The water heater tube has an outer diameter of 87 cm and a length of 53 cm with a capacity of 25 liters of water.
