Abstract

Tujuan penelitian skripsi ini adalah mengetahui sejauh mana peranan pembina remaja dalam membimbing iman remaja. Penelitian skripsi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan kuisioner. Seorang Pembina mempunyai tanggung jawab dan peranan penting dalam membimbing iman remaja berdasarkan firman Tuhan sehingga remaja dapat mempunyai iman yang kuat kepada Tuhan Yesus. Peran pembina bagi perkembangan iman remaja adalah sebagai sahabat, pembina yang mempunyai visi, pemimpin yang memimpin secara spiritual dan konselor. Pada umumnya, peran pembina remaja GKI Pengadilan Bogor adalah sebagai sahabat remaja di dalam kelompok kecil. Pendampingan sebagai sahabat dalam melaksanakan pendekatan pribadi dituntut untuk memiliki sikap peka dan saling mendengarkan. Pembina membutuhkan komunikasi asertif yang artinya menjaga komunikasi agar tetap menghargai dan menjaga perasaan orang lain, tidak berniat untuk menyakiti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, pembina remaja GKI Pengadilan Bogor berperan sebagai yang membimbing dalam kelompok kecil Remaja yang dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik dan akrab seperti sahabat yang mau mendengar dan peduli dengan masalah remaja. Kedua, peran pembina remaja menghasilkan remaja yang memiliki pengetahuan firman Tuhan yang baik dan benar sehingga remaja dapat menjalani kehidupannya tanpa ada perubahan perilaku yang negatif. Ketiga, pembina remaja dapat menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri remaja saat mengalami perilaku yang berbeda dari lingkungannya dan menjadi tempat untuk mencurahkan masalah yang sedang dihadapinya. Kata kunci: Pembina Remaja, Iman Kristen, Remaja./ The purpose of writing this thesis is to determine the extent of the role of teenager mentor in guiding teenagers’ faith. This thesis research uses qualitative methods with interview and questionnaire data collection techniques. A mentor has a responsibility and an important role in guiding teenagers’ faith based on the word of God so that teenagers can have strong faith in the Lord Jesus. The role of mentors for the development of teenagers’ faith is as a friend, a mentor with a vision, a leader who leads spiritually and as a counselor. In general, the role of teenager’s mentor of GKI Pengadilan Bogor is as teenager friends in small groups. Assistance as a friend in carrying out a personal approach requires having a sensitive attitude and listening to each other. Mentor needs assertive communication, which means maintaining communication in order to respect and protect the feelings of others, not intending to hurt. The results showed that: First, teenager mentors act as leaders who guide small groups. Teenagers can communicate well and intimately like friends who want to listen and care about the teenager’s problems. Second, the role of teenager mentors is to produce teenagers who have good and true knowledge of God's Word so that they can live their lives without negative behavior changes. Third, teenager mentors can foster adolescent self-confidence when experiencing behaviors that are different from their environment and become a place to express the problems they are facing.
