Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari dan menguasai materi pada mata pelajaran bahasa Mandarin, serta kurangnya ketertarikan siswa dalam mempelajari bahasa Mandarin. Permasalahan ini dapat disebabkan oleh dua faktor, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal ialah motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah. Kemudian faktor eksternal ialah lingkungan belajar siswa yang kurang mendukung dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, guru mata pelajaran bahasa Mandarin di SMPK BPK Penabur Serang masih menggunakan metode dan media belajar konvensional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media wordwall terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar kognitif pada mata pelajaran bahasa Mandarin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPK BPK Penabur Serang. Sampel yang diambil adalah kelas 7A sebanyak 30 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil belajar kognitif dan angket motivasi belajar. Teknik prasyaratan analisis yang digunakan adalah uji instrumen, uji normalitas, uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Paired Sample T Test, Uji N-Gain. Kemudian pengambilan data angket respon terhadap penggunaan media wordwall sebagai data pendukung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas penggunaan media wordwall berbasis online terhadap motivasi belajar yaitu sebesar 48% yang termasuk dalam kategori kurang efektif, dan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif yaitu sebesar 66% yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup efektif. Kata kunci: media online, wordwall, bahasa Mandarin. / This research was motivated by the difficulties experienced by students in learning and mastering Chinese, as well as the lack of interest of students in learning Chinese. This problem is caused by two factors, internal factor and external factor. The internal factor is the low motivation of students in learning Chinese. The external factor is the students learning environment that is less supportive in learning Chinese. Besides that, the Chinese language teacher at SMPK BPK Penabur Serang still uses conventional learning methods and media. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of using wordwall on motivation and cognitive learning outcomes in Chinese subjects. This research used pre-experimental method with one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at SMPK BPK Penabur Serang. The sample is grade 7A which consists of 30 students. To collect the data the researcher used cognitive learning outcomes tests and learning motivation questionnaires methods. The prerequisite analysis technique used by the researcher is instrument test, normality test, hypothesis test using Paired Sample T-Test, and N-Gain Test. The researcher collected questionnaire data on student responses to wordwall media, as additional data. Based on the results of the research, the researcher concluded that the effectiveness of using online-based media wordwall on learning motivation is 48% which is included in the less effective category, and on cognitive learning outcomes is 66% which is included in the quite effective category.
