Abstract

Latar belakang: Otitis eksterna adalah keadaan inflamasi liang telinga akut maupun kronis yang dapat disebkan karena alergi atau infeksi bakteri, virus maupun jamur. Secara epidemiologi, otitis eksterna dapat ditemukan di seluruh dunia. Prevalensi nya bervariasi di berbagai wilayah tergantung pada faktor resiko dan letak geografis seperti kelembaban, penyumbatan liang telinga , trauma lokal, serta alergi. Otitis eksterna dapat terjadi pada seluruh usia dan kejadiannya cukup sering terjadi di kalangan masyarakat. Hal ini terjadi karena belum banyak masyarakat yang mengetahui mengenai bahaya dari tidak bersihnya telinga, cuaca dan pola pembersihan telinga. Tujuan: Mengetahui profil klinis pasien otitis eksterna difusa di Rumah Sakit Umum Universitas Kristen Indonesia pada tahun 2019 – 2022. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian retrospektif yang menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Hasil: Berikut merupakan hasil penelitian dengan proporsi tertinggi: usia 21- 30 tahun sebanyak 27 orang (31,4%), jenis kelamin laki-laki sebanyak 45 orang (52,3%), pekerjaan wiraswasta sebanyak 29 orang (33,7%), lokasi telinga unilateral sebanyak 69 orang (80,2%), keluhan utama otalgia sebanyak 66 orang (76,7%) dan keluhan tambahan telinga terasa penuh sebanyak 34 orang (39,5%). Simpulan: Pada Poliklinik THT-KL Rumah Sakit Umum Universitas Kristen Indonesia periode 2019-2022 terdapat pasien penderita otitis eksterna difusa sebanyak 86 orang. Usia terbanyak 21-30 tahun, jenis kelamin laki laki, pekerjaan wiraswasta, lokasi telinga unilateral, keluhan utama otalgia, dan keluhan tambahan telinga terasa penuh. Kata Kunci: Otitis, Difusa, Otalgia, Telinga terasa penuh. / Background: Otitis externa is an acute or chronic inflammation of the ear canal which can be caused by allergies or bacterial, viral or fungal infections. Epidemiologically, otitis externa can be found worldwide. Its prevalence varies in different regions depending on risk factors and geographical location such as humidity, ear canal blockage, local trauma, and allergies. Otitis externa can occur at any age and its occurrence is quite common in the community. This happens because not many people know about the dangers of unclean ears, the weather and ear cleaning patterns. Objective: To determine the clinical profile of diffuse otitis externa patients at the Indonesian Christian University General Hospital in 2019 – 2022. Methods: This study was a retrospective study using a descriptive research method. Result: The following are the results of the study with the highest proportion: 27 people (31.4%) aged 21-30 years, 45 people (52.3%) male, 29 people (33.7%) self-employed 69 people (80.2%) had unilateral ear locations, 66 people (76.7%) had the main complaint of otalgia and additional complaints of ear fullness were 34 people (39.5%). Conclusion: At the ENT-KL Polyclinic at the General Hospital of the Christian University of Indonesia for the 2019-2022 period, there were 86 patients with diffuse otitis externa. Most were 21-30 years old, male, self-employed, unilateral ear location, main complaint of otalgia, and additional complaint of ear fullness. Keywords: Otitis, Diffuse, Otalgia, Ears feel full.
