Abstract

This study discusses the Chinese Panda diplomacy strategy as a symbol of peace towards Indonesia. This study will use a symbolic protocol that was sparked by Pierre Bourdieu to reveal Panda's discourse on three indicators, namely habitus, social capital, and the arena of battle discourse, and the concept of diplomacy which was initiated by Joseph Nye, to explain Panda as a diploma instrument. In operationalizing theories and concepts used qualitative methods. This study shows the importance of Panda discourse which has a positive impact on the image of Chinese politics in Indonesia.
