Abstract

Dengue is a contagious disease, caused by dengue virus which can be transmitted or spread among residents through contact with infected people. Aedes aegypti is a species of tropical and subtropical mosquito, they are resistant to heat and humidity. These mosquitoes breed faster and bite more often at high temperatures and dependent on humidity. Mosquitoes which become vectors of dengue fever are mosquito become infected while biting sick humans and viremia. Once infected, mosquitoes will become infective for the rest their lives, dengue virus can be transmitted transovarially from mosquitoes to their eggs. This mosquito species is anthropophilic, meaning it prefers to suck human blood. This study was conducted using design Observational Analytic, sample collection uses multistage sampling technique, which the sample obtained 274 homes from 2912 population. The results of this study then tested with Container Index and Ratio Rate. Conclusion this study thats there is correlation between temperature and humidity with the presence of Aedes sp. larvae, more commonly found at optimum temperature of water and humidity with a Container Index of 9.85 % and Ratio Rate (RR) = 2.15.
