Abstract

Daun binahong merupakan tumbuhan yang cukup dikenal dan dikonsumsi oleh negara Asia dan Eropa. Tumbuhan ini berkhasiat dalam menyembuhkan penyakit radang usus, sembelit, diare, dan demam. Selain itu daun binahong memiliki kandungan flavonoid, alkaloid, polifenol, dan saponin untuk menghambat bakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui daya hambat daun binahong terhadap bakteri Eschericia coli. Penelitian ini m penelitian eksperimemtal dengan metode Kirby Bauer dan sumuran. Ekstrak daun binahong dengan berbagai konsentrasi yaitu: 100%, 90%, 80%, 70% 60%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20%, 10% dan di uji terhadap bakteri E.coli. Hasil penelitian ekstrak daun binahong terdapat rata-rata zona hambat tertinggi pada konsentrasi 100% dengan daya hambat 7,5 mm menggunakan metode Kirby Bauer dan terendah pada konsentrasi 90% dengan daya hambat 4,5 mm menggunakan metode sumuran. Kata Kunci : Daun binahong (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis), Eschericia coli./ The binahong leaf is a fairly familiar plant and is consumed by the Asian and European countries. It has medicinal properties for ailments such as colitis, constipation, diarrhea, and fever. In addition, binahong leaves have a high concentration of flavonoid, alkaloid, polyphenols, and saponin to suppress bacteria. The purpose of this study is to identify the curative strengths of binahong leaves against eschericia coli. The study USES experimental research using the kirby Bauer and the commonwealth method. Extract of binahong leaves with a concentration of: 100%, 90%, 80%, 70% 60%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20%, 20%, 10%. The results of the binahong leaf extract study are the highest recovery zones ata 100% concentration concentration with a 7.5 mm resistance using kirby Bauer's methods and lowest at 90% with 4.5 mm resistance using the commonwealth method.
